Texas produces more cattle than Missouri and Missouri was 5th Cotton production out of the SEC states. No other SEC state produces more pork, beans, or corn than Missouri. I take Missouri as a strong second.

Missouri should promote this more. Pork, green beans, corn = God's food. It's enough to petition for re-classification as a southern state and now that Tom Petty (RIP) is gone I'd propose MO takes Florida's spot in the South.

What do you mean by 'farmers'? Florida likely has more farmers than Tennessee, Mizzou, and Auburn etc. given the citrus industry.

UF is definitely up there, we are a big Ag school.

Soy beans, brother. Missouri lags far behind others in green beans grown per acre. The deer population wouldn't allow for it.

Missouri has to be number one. Lsu has more farmers than any of the Mississippi schools. Louisiana and Mississippi have similar acreage but lsu has one major school. And lots of sugarcane farmers in Louisiana which generally farm smaller acreage due to the profitability of sugarcane, leading to a large number of farmers.

99% of the rice grown in the us comes from Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and California. SEMO is rice, soy beans, and cotton as far as the eye can see, and in SEMO that’s a damn good ways.

This thread got me curious... Apparently, Tennessee grows green beans more than any other crop by a landslide. This makes me happy.
