I've traveled most of SEC Country. Lots of corn fields in Missouri.

Probably Texas A&M if we’re talking about straight numbers.
Auburn or MSU if we’re talking per capita.
Yeah, I think this is right.

Absolutely, tree farming counts. After all the op didn't say row croppin', he said "farming."

Yeah I remember back when we had run over y'all as well, it'll change at some point and this time y'all can't run away.

What do you mean by 'farmers'? Florida likely has more farmers than Tennessee, Mizzou, and Auburn etc. given the citrus industry.
TBH, Tennessee doesn't farm crops on a large scale unless you count our mary-jawanna production which used to rival CA and HI in production. However, I'm sure legalization has changed and/or is changing the amounts produced and where.

Georgia grows nearly half the nations peanuts and is 2nd in cotton production behind TX so I think some folks are errantly omitting Georgia from contention - clearly behind Texas & Mizzou. That is if by “farmers” you mean those who make their living from row cropping and not someone who holds another day job and has 30 head of cows or goats.

Agree. Georgia is the largest state East of the Mississippi River and most of it is farm and timber land.
Eta- you forgot blueberries. Georgia is the nation’s largest blueberry producer.

He asked which fan base not state. Went to State with plenty of guys that farmed in states from Iowa to FL. Your research develops your network, thus attracting farmers from other states. Most cotton planted in GA was developed, hybridized, and marketed by MSU grads. You do kick arse with the goober growing!

I would think A&M followed by Fla, Ga, Mizz, Aub, Ark would be all very close.
