I live in the DFW metro area which I'd guess is roughly even between Texas and aggy, slight edge to Texas. Also a lot of Sooners here who choose to come a bit south instead of staying in the OKC area after graduation, and a few piggies.

I'm northeast Dallas, inside LBJ. To me feels like A&M, Texas and OU about the same, with OU behind just a bit.

LSU and Ark nave a presence and feel like the next tier.

There aren't. Not sure where he pulled this number from. Mobile and Baldwin are as Bama as any county in the state.

Baldwin County is the fastest growing area in the state. Lots of transplants have moved there since 1980s. Not talking about Mobile's white flight ether. Lots of different fans

Would say with some confidence that BC still has an Auburn dominance, followed by Bama. The rest are single digit % or less.

Dude Mobile is equally as far from Auburn and Bama as it is from BR and it’s even closer to NOLA. I don’t know why it’s so difficult to comprehend the fact that there are lots of Louisiana people and LSU fans that live in that area.

Now, to answer the question of the thread for NOLA, I would go with 90% LSU, 7% Ole Miss and 3% Alabama as a rough estimate. This is only including SEC fans though and not the old line Tulane crowd, the culcha, or the weird liberals who don’t care about football.

I’ve lived in Brooklyn NY for nearly 20 years. Every SEC school and major university in the country has large alumni bases in Manhattan and most have a bar or 2 or more in Manhattan where alumni gather for games.

However, in the areas where most of the new growth is in Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Fort Greene, Park Slope etc) I’ve noticed this:

Most likely to be wearing lots of team gear on vacation: LSU, Nebraska

Most likely to be out jogging or doing errands wearing college gear: Michigan, UVA, North Carolina, Vandy

Most likely to have have never left Brooklyn but wearing SEC gear: Alabama

Most likely to have fans at many different random bars closely following a football game:

Ohio State and Michigan

Alabama, LSU, Penn St, Florida, Texas

Not as much as above but more than you may think: Auburn

1981, spotted a guy at Yankee Stadium with a Bama tee-shirt. He was from Rochester, shirt was from game that Bama played Rutgers in the Meadowlands, 1980.

I haven't lived in Charlotte for close to ten years now but usce was the only sec presence there. Majority carolina, then usce/clem/ncst seemed to be the rest.

Still the case.

0.001%, with me making up the largest part of that percentage. Most here are Man United or Man City fans. Only maybe a hundred or so would even know what I meant if I said 'SEC' to describe university conference affiliation.

NWA is full of OU fans.

More Texas fans than LSU.
