Why wouldnt he? If he could add depth at positions of need? Given his narcissism and OCD shite he has going on do you not think he will constantly push the envelope?

Phone records would be part of discovery and hopefully sort the rest out, if the suit went to trial.

Again, why would Kiffin help get kids eligible who aren't football players, or who will play for other SEC schools?

That makes no sense. No one has given a halfway logical explanation for this part yet.

Didnt he walk it back and say it may not have been LK but an LSU staffer?

"It's really not a big deal, other than I probably shouldn't have without knowing for sure."

Basically, it might have happened, it might not have.

"First off, I should not ... one of our staff had said, that's why I said 'us' and not 'me' ... one of our staff had said they had gotten a text," Monken said. "I should've followed through with it. Maybe they meant someone from (LSU's) staff. That's on me. Should not throw someone's name on there without following through on it.

"I was just making light of it. I was really not trying to make a big thing of it. I was just like, 'man, what this world has come to.' It was almost silliness and goofiness. It's really not a big deal other than I probably shouldn't have (said that) without following through."

High.

Pretty much assured, IMO.

The SEC will try sanctions, likely on par with the death penalty, which LSU will contest, which will result in expulsion.

Went to LSU.

Would like LSU to remain in the SEC because it is good for everyone.

Do not see it happening at this point.

Then, why did you say high and pretty much assured? Personally, I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance in Hell.

I think you guys will have to eat it a little and the SEC will give you some face saving routes to make that less painful. Whether that leads to you departing 3 years from now probably depends on a lot of things. I mean, if Kiffin doesn’t live up to expectations that’s an easy rationalization for letting the bad blood die off, for example

Man you clearly have never dealt with the average Louisiana native.

Save face? Bahahaha

May the bridges we burn light the path ahead.

Becsuse I expect one of two things to happen:

1. They expel LSU outright, or

2. They attempt to punish LSU with death penalty level sanctions and LSU contests this, resulting in their expulsion.

All the bloviating voices on here will be caught completely off guard and the conference will be less enjoyable.

My life will go on the same.

This would be a terrible look nationally, as most people will assume this is now over.

I hope LSU doesn't agree to any type of sanctions, at that point, there's nothing really to stay for. We're almost to that point now.

The SEC doesn’t have the authority that you seem to think they do.

They can’t levy sanctions, only fines and suspensions.

Issue for them now is LSU didn’t break any of the rules they clearly laid out, so they have no avenue to do anything but sit down, shut up and vote “no” on Thursday.

They may even want to push LSU out anyway and this is simply one step to do so.

I simply do not expect to see LSU in the SEC for much longer.
