Vandy was outscored every single season from 1982 until James Franklin got there. In hIs three years he's been +66, +172 and +70. I don't understand why Franklin isn't the #1 candidate for every available job.

to be fair, there also weren't 35 bowls for most of Vandy's history

hell, it wasn't that long ago that there were only like 15 or 16.

Franklin has done very well but the Vandy admin committing to winning is the biggest thing in all of this.

If they dont step up to shell out the $$$ needed to win they dont get to this point.

It's gonna be a miracle if Vandy can hang onto him through this offseason.

According to some key folks on the Rant, Texas' board and stakeholders would never hire a black or bald head coach. It's a country club out there!

I used to not give two shits about Vandy, but since Franklin, I have started to dislike them...as they have started beating us on a regular basis and it's not an embarrassing thing to say now. Folks can joke about it all they want, but they keep winning 9 games plus a year under James Franklin and they are a physical football team doing it. My hat is off to Vandy. Congrats on another good season.
