LSU is probably petroleum/chemical engineering though we did just have a physics professor win a Nobel prize for LIGO gravitational wave theory.
Bama is best known for sibling sexuality studies.

At least our women don’t look like rats. Couldn’t tell the women from the cows in Starkville.

Engineering at State is fine, but it’s middle of the pack in the SEC. Auburn, A&M, Florida are all way better.
We've won numerous national spots #1 vs so called "Big" schools in competition how to design shite etc. What are you talking about?

Man, yall are some boring asses... I went to ITT Tech.
Our top producing field is/was street pharmacist. Most students went/are in the welfare/default student loan/bankrupt field though.

Wonder if there are any big time college football schools with as many as 10% of their scholarship players in the academic program they are most known for?
That would expose the myth of the student-athlete.
Or my favorite
"I picked this school for its **** program but I am not getting enough playing time so I will transfer."
They are athlete-students, nothing wrong with that but honesty would be nice.

Josh Dobbs came to UT only because we offered aerospace engineering. His recruitment consisted more of the engineering dept. telling him and his parents about his desired major than coaches about the football program.
And although Josh was more interested in designing planes, UT has helped put more astronauts into space than most countries. We can claim 10 astronauts who are UT alums (more if we only went by those who received advanced training through UT's Space Institute).
You come down pretty harshly on student athletes but the same thing can be said of regular students who transfer for other reasons despite choosing the school due to it's major.

Don't forget that we offer a Graduate Certificate in Brewing Science and Operations:

Those were the 2 I was going to say. Maybe not what we are known for, but our internal audit program and our landscape architecture program are some of the best in the country.
I also think we have a really good French program, which obviously would relate to our history as a state.
Probably known more for our engineering I guess.
