For me and I think most native Texans it is more about recruiting than the record. Check out OU's roster. Most of the big names we're all familiar with in the not-too-distant past to the present are Texans, including their last two Heisman-winning QB's.

This actually makes sense to me. To be fair, the state of Oklahoma, although does actually produce some good talent, doesn't have the top prospects that Texas has. So you cant be upset that a team wants to win so they fish in your backyard just like everyone else does.

I am just glad OU now has to actually have academic standards for acceptance. Their entire history is built on the acceptance of Texas certified retarded athletes that could not be accepted by academic institutions in the state of Texas.

I agree. I'm an academics first type of person. I will absolutely admit that there have been some the dumbest individuals put on that uniform.
