Arkansas. Those idiots can't manage to get themselves in out of the rain, much less manage a division 1 football program.

Give it up dude. Look, Walmart fired you years ago for jerking off in the maternity clothes section and it obviously stung. However, you've been fired from other jobs so don't hold it against the one in Arkansas.

Let it go. Which also includes the whole masturbating thing at work.

Both are trainwrecks, but at least Texas A&M had mostly winning seasons.

Compare their relative revenues and capital expenses during that time period.

$450 million renovation to Kyle Field

$25 million upgrade to Bright complex

Jimbo Fisher given record breaking guaranteed extension. What could go wrong?

A&M spends $25m to $30m to sign "highest ranking recruiting class of all time"

The record is the record, so you got me there.

But the amounts A&M has invested in their football program have been unprecedented.

Auburn spent $91.9m on their football facilities:

Woltosz Football Performance Center

They spent $28m on upgrading Jordan-Hare back in 2017:

$28m facelift

and are currently undergoing an additional $25.7 upgrade this year:

Video board getting a facelift among other projects

They didn't exactly pay top dollar for either Harsin or Freeze. Heck, hiring Freeze is a desperation ploy, not a sound investment.

Jimbo Fisher was a monster hire for the Aggies, and while Elko represents some alum fatigue when it comes to spending for a new coach, I'd still say he's a more promising hire than either Harsin or Freeze represent. Certainly less desperate than Freeze.

According to this article A&M has $20m more in revenue than Auburn, which, admittedly doesn't seem like that much given modern day college revenue numbers, but it's still more.

NCAA athletic department revenue figures

However, the prior year A&M reported $279.2m in AD revenue, which dwarfs Auburn.

A&M reports $279m in revenue

It's possible I'm underestimating Auburn's complete ineptitude. Which, fair. But I feel like you're underestimating the massive investment A&M has made in football with nothing to show for it.

I would say Arkansas but, with no insult to the folks down on the plains, it has to be Auburn. The only program to do less with more is A&M but that is a tradition there. People expect it and would be upset if they actually did what they were supposed to do.

Mind you, I think Auburn isn't far from being able to turn things around. A lot of advantages built into that program to be a top 25 team and a yearly threat to make the CFP with the right coaching staff and administration.

It is terrible. I can't decide on whether to pity him or spray him with pesticide to keep him from breeding.

Isn’t it kinda somewhat in the middle of Houston, DFW, Austin? There needs to be a name for that triangle. How about ‘Triangle of Disappointment’? ‘Triangle of Tears?’ ‘Triangle of Pain’?

I do give all the Texas programs props for resiliency. You guys just keep getting up off the mat.

Glad our Austin brethren are here to defend us. The answer is absolutely A&M.

Out of the teams with high expectations I would say Auburn was the worst the past 5 seasons at 16 - 26 in SEC games. Next I would say Florida who went 20 - 23 in SEC games the past 5 seasons.

A&M went 23 - 18 but did have the highest expectations.

Auburn & Aggies, and for similar reasons. Both have lost sight of their historic strengths. It's fair to not like Bruce, but you have to give him a ton of credit for tapping into what makes the place unique.

Not sure it's the worst, but LSU has to be up there. Last year the top three schools who spent on NIL, according to Google.

Texas
Oregon
LSU

The 2 years after Ed O's natty in 2019. What he did to the program after that natty was absolutely abhorrent.
