What is the first thing you say or think when you hear someone say "Roll Tide".

At work, there is SEC fans all over the building. I am probably the most visible UGA fan as my office is decked out in UGA gear. Alabama fans walk by and yell out the Roll Tide yell and I say 44-16. First thing that comes out.

If I was a Bama fan, I’d just laugh at that comment because I would know what a loser someone has to be to use another trams success in their comeback.
It’s like the ultimate compliment to Bama honestly- noting they were right there in the final battle while acknowledging your team didn’t do shite.
As a fan of a team that hasn’t done shite at all- at all all- in several years, I feel my interpretation is spot on and valid.

If someone I don’t know interjects a Roll Tide for no reason into a conversation I thank them for letting me know they are a redneck. It doesn’t happen much because I rarely go in a Wal Mart.

44-16 is the best you got....
I have found that I say "Roll Tide" less and less as Alabama has been on this latest title run. It is almost overkill, and we do try and not to rub it in too much.
edit to add- if bothered, I usually say "I am going to spend the weekend watching all of the Alabama National Title football games back to back. It takes about 24 hours straight, and that is less than half of the titles."

Unfortunately, the 2 biggest Bama fans are graduates, so college educated rednecks? It is all in good fun here. Military and civilians have fun during football season. In my office is South Carolina and a LSU fan with Alabama, Miami and Ohio State fans in the department. Thankfully, there isn't anybody in the department that takes it as serious as some of you. It isn't life or death, but if your team loses, you are in for some grief on Monday.
