I only follow football because that's the main sport I watch. I wouldn't watch basketball or hockey if I wasn't interested in those sports would I?

I'll root for all the teams, but I could really care less about sports outside of football except maybe some MLB...

Other than football, I also follow basketball, baseball, softball, and gymnastics very closely. Basketball and baseball have new coaching staffs, but have the tools to improve, and get back to where they were, which was pretty damn good. Softball and gymnastics competes for national titles every year.

Saw him just last year in NOLA and he was looking rough. Years of alcohol abuse can do that I gues.

Alabama is basically a football school. The basketball program used to be pretty good when Wimp Sanderson was coaching. Ever since he left, the basketball program has fallen way off.

Gottfried, despite many of his shortcomings, did take Alabama the deepest into the NCAA tournament than any other coach, getting to the elite eight. He had a SEC title as well.

There's really no downside for Texas. If they lose, then the underdog couldn't pull it off and the game went as predicted. On the other hand, should they win, Bama will be pounded by everyone who follows college football. It will be an albatross they'll have to wear for a long long time.

Something like "all those All Americans and Bear Jr for a coach and the Heisman Trophy winner and they still got their arse kicked"......

You just named two sports we are very good at. Gymnastics and softball. Our gymnastics team would steamroll Texas' team. We have like a 98 meet winning streak over Auburn, but that's really nothing to brag about.

The Gymnastics team is usually one of the best in the country, Baseball does well sometimes, Basketball should be getting better in the next couple of years. Softball is usually pretty good. From what I have been told, their Hockey team is pretty decent as well. I watch all these sports, but I don't follow them as closely as I do Football. It will always been the #1 sport for the school, but I still support the other teams as well.

Just to be fair, Auburns swim team puts up a rooster tail when they go by our guys in the pool.
