Mens golf should be good in 2010. Basketball should be better for the next few years, Gymnastics, Softball. Baseball's always up in the air, could be very good or just avg. For the size of the state, having to split revenue with Au., another big time program I think we stack up pretty damn well. Tn, LSU, Ga., dont have this problem. This is a link to Forbes top CFB grossing programs. LINK
Crazy how a bunch of back assward, toothless, trailer park living inbreds can come up with so much money AND split it with another top 20 program in-state, while living in one of the poorest states in the nation.

What's up with you starting all these bama threads? The two schools hardly ever play each other, so why the animosity?

I really haven't started that many threads about Alabama . But would you like me to show you the shitload your fans have started about Texas?

Very successful and Gottfried don't belong anywhere near one another. Besides football we are good at gymnastics, softball, cross country, men's and women's golf, our diving team is good, Anthony Grant WILL produce a good basketball team, and Gaspard will turn around the baseball program once again.

Oh God no, please dont say Gottfried. Listen, he was good the first 5 years and stunk the latter five. He got all the best in state talent and those guys kept us in the games, but they never got better as a basketball player for playing under him. The last three years the best in- state ballers looked else where to play. They saw the writing on the wall and eventually the AD saw this also. The firing was three years too late IMO and we are now in rebuilding mode.

Here's a link to in state talent fleeing. LINK

I think Anthony Grant can turn things around. He was a good hire by you guys. Trent Johnson vs Anthony Grant should be a good match up for years to come.

You know what's really sad? Texas in football. I mean, you've won 3 (2 before 2005) national championships despite controlling the 3rd most populous state for your entire existence (and NY doesn't take college football seriously). You have a huge, wealthy alumni base and arguably the best recruiting ground in the country. You have literally every advantage possible and still the best you can muster is the same number of national titles as LSU and Florida? I'm sorry that your school's best isn't as good as our school's best.

I hope our whole fanbase realizes this. Grant won't be able to turn this around instantly like Saban did, but we still need to support him. I got season tickets although I didn't make it to the game tonight

He needs no less than five years. I used to have season tickets for a few of the Gottfried years. I just couldnt get excited to travel an hour to watch a half-court, walk it up the floor, offense. Too many turn overs, no in bounds set plays, and terrible defense. Man those games were dull. This new offense and in your face defense has my arse back in the seats.

You know what's sad? Your fan base actually believes you have 12 National Championships. Not only is it pathetic, it's also hilarious. And at least we excel in something other than football. Our basketball team is undefeated

I guess it's all that matters when you suck at everything else.

straight up... i probably would still never turn on the tv to watch us in basketball if we were consistently good... or baseball... or anything.

and at least we're not all out there lying like we give a damn when we don't.... you know, like people who show up just because the chance of going to a game and winning (as a fan) is really high? there are people out there, fairweather fans, that go when their team is winning and not when they're losing.

only one team at Alabama has been able to get fans to show up when things are abyssmal and STICK around... and that's football.

we may end up having a basketball following or a baseball following eventually. and that would make me happy because it helps recruiting for even football. i mean as far as our university is concerned... good is good, so i'm all for our other teams winning.

oh, and we don't just SUCK at everything else. we just don't have a championship mentality for anything other than football.

there's football... and then there's everything else all in one category. straight up.

This board happens to have a lot of bama fans so naturally they're gonna start threads about the ncg and the ncg opponent. The threads I've seen from you haven't been about the game, just subtle and not so subtle flames.

99.99% of the threads started by Alabama fans are flames.

i'll bet it bothers you that Saban was over there wearing a Texas shirt. i would place big money on you being worried that Saban learned stuff that he can use to his advantage when he was over there.

and i'd bet that's why you have it as your avatar. no better place to hide than in plain sight!

Yeah. He's stealing all of our information from a few years ago. I hope he doesn't use it against us
