We haven't lost to Arkansas since joining the SEC and their game plan has been the exact same every year.
While I agree with you, the last two years have been about as close as possible. I believe any fan feeling confident going into that game this year is full of it.

I have said before, and I think A&M is the surprise team out of the West this year. I say that because of their schedule, a senior quarterback, excellent receivers, and a serviceable defense. Very favorable Road schedule, also, with the exception of at Tuscaloosa.
I see the Aggies winning 9 at least, and with some good play early, they could be undefeated heading into Tuscaloosa.
2016 TEXAS A&M FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
Saturday, Sept. 3 vs. UCLA Kyle Field. (W)
Saturday, Sept. 10 vs. Prairie View A&M Kyle Field (W)
Saturday, Sept. 17 at Auburn Auburn, AL (Toss-up)
Saturday, Sept. 24 vs. *Arkansas (AT&T Stadium) Arlington, TX (toss-up)
Saturday, Oct. 1 at *South Carolina Columbia, SC (W)
Saturday, Oct. 8 vs. *Tennessee Kyle Field (W)
Saturday, Oct. 15 OPEN WEEK
Saturday, Oct. 22 at *Alabama Tuscaloosa, AL (L)
Saturday, Oct. 29 vs. New Mexico St. Kyle Field (W)
Saturday, Nov. 5 at *Mississippi St. Starkville, MS (W)
Saturday, Nov. 12 vs. *Ole Miss Kyle Field (L)
Saturday, Nov. 19 vs. UTSA Kyle Field (W)
Thursday, Nov. 24 vs. *LSU Kyle Field (tossup)

6-6 would be fine. Herman gets to sodimize the SEC in 2017 that means.
I expect ten wins.
Not possible when he's coaching at UT.

9-3 or better and Sumlin is safe and fans are mostly satisfied.
And therein lies the story of the never ending failure of A&M football.

UTa won't pull the plug on Chollie this year. They are way too dysfunctional at present.

LSU could contend for it all, bad play and another 7-8 win season is right there

Agree 100%. The west is brutal as it gets.

Mazzone was a great move
Coordinators are in place
Disagree regarding LSU though. Miles has only won less than 9 games twice in his tenure at LSU, and they were depleted teams
LSUs floor is 9 this year IMO and ceiling is winning the SEC and making a playoff and potentially NC
I expect to fall somewhere in the middle if we are being honest

One of the Texags mods posted this, and I tend to agree with it.
7-5 or worse and Sumlin is gone.
8-4 is an unknown middle ground (and most common A&M fan prediction).
9-3 or better and Sumlin is safe and fans are mostly satisfied.
Seems legit.
8-4 would be that really uncomfortable zone where fans are unsatisfied but do you fire a coach who just went 8-4 and with a bowl win would be 9-4 which would be improvement from previous season.

Wait, what?
It's not that hard to understand or far fetched. LSU is incredibly talented and could end up in the CFP, but a couple injuries or bad bounces and you're 8-4. That's how it goes in the west, y'all should know that better than us

Ceiling 9-3
Floor 7-5
Losses to:Bama, UT, LSU
Toss ups: ole miss, Aub, Ark, UCLA

I don't know what UT you mean, but both expect to have a decent season this year.

As is usually the case in this game......can you run the ball and stop the run?
Unfortunately those are the biggest question marks for this team.
There's some changes, some health at linebacker, Turner back as OL coach. So reasons for hope.
But LB depth is thin...probably playing a 4-2-5 most of the time with a hard-hitting safety in the box. How's that safety gonna hold up against the likes of Fournette?
DL should be very good against the pass, they've proven otherwise against the run.
OL is a crapshoot....not much experience, but good size and now coaching. Oddly last year the OL coach's techniques and principles did not jibe with the O coordinators scheme. How on earth is that tolerated, Sumlin? We also have a healthy bunch of RB's, so we won't have to rely on one guy all year.
Prediction? I suspect we'll start strong and then win the gimme's, but ARK, Auburn, Ole Miss, even Miss St could go either way. I'd be surprised off we lose to USCe, or beat LSU or BAMA. I have no idea what to expect in the
Tenn game. They'll be coming to Kyle in the middle of a pretty tough stretch of their schedule.

Y'all went 8-5 in 14, probably what he was referring to. Not a huge difference between 7-5 and 8-5 in my mind
