What is a realistic timetable as to when Saban will retire?

What else is there to accomplish?

8-10 years down the line. Maybe.

Has absolutely nothing to do with Saban and everything to do with when REC funds run dry.
They’ve made him who he is today.

Once he sees Joe Burrow in action he'll start making his plans to retire at the end of this season.

No way.
Maybe 6 more years huh?
frick.

He’s “only” 66. I honestly would be shocked if he retired within the next 6 years.

He’s a very young 66. I could see him easily coaching to 75.

So you have it at about 8-10 years Craig?
We gotta deal with this bullshite another decade you think?

The guy has probably made a deal with the devil and won't ever leave.

His 2 and 3 deep could wreck a lot of teams.
It’s ridiculous.
He’s like a game genie with a headset.
I have him gone in 7 years.

He has an insane amount of drive and incomparable work ethic. He seems like he’s in pretty good shape, he’s not fat and I don’t think he really drinks.
It could get interesting if he starts to “slip” a bit as he gets older. I’m taking relative to Bama, some crazy shite like two or a three loss season. I wonder as he gets older and if he dips a little if there is any pressure from the administration on him.
He doesn’t seem like the type who’s interested in hanging it up to play with the grandkids. I think he’d go nuts without football

If Snyder can still keep coaching, I don’t see why Saban, who seems in good health, wouldn’t
Saban will be Snyder’s current age for the 2030 season
Have fun sleeping on that

That’s a good point, he’s in good shape, health won’t slow him down going forward for a while.

People don't understand Saban. They just don't.
It isn't about having "done enough".
He couldn't care less. He lives his life by "the process" meaning there is no end game. U don't worry about results but rather focus on each minute being the best u can be. He would never timetable himself or concern himself with what he's done.
He loves football more than maybe anyone that's ever lived. He loves doing it where he does it. God knows he literally could have any job at any level he wants.
His kids both married alabamians, his mom now lives here and he has entrenched himself in the Alabama business community as well. He probably goes into his mid 70s at least. He couldn't live without football. This will be his 12th season. Don't be surprised to see him make it to 20.

Agreed. That’s why he never even had back to back 10-win seasons in his entire career before he landed at the most corrupt program in college football history.

If it’s any consolation, I don’t see him hanging on five years too long like Bowden and Paterno did. If his teams start to consistently lose about three games a year and Bama is not making the playoffs about half of the time, I could see him stepping back from coaching. Much like Bear did.
