He did make some bad game time decision vs OU. But those ended up not hurting Ole Miss. in the long run if he made those bad decisions in every game they eventually would cost his team.

And what if LSU looks better with Lane? And I know you’ve thought about that.

Ole Miss will throttle Tulane. It won't be close.

Ole Miss will probably get throttled by UGA.

You can mask the issues against Tulane, but no Kiffin against UGA will be an issue.

IT will be interesting. Lane is an insanely talented offensive mind and will have a similar recruiting base to what he had at USC. Let's see how he handles going back to being the villain. I think when he left UT he didn't really care what people said about him. As we've seen from how upset he got about being called a hoe, I think he does care about how others see him. I really think he thought he could go to LSU and Ole Miss fans would just be grateful and wish him well. That was just never going to happen going to a rival. If he had gone to Florida, I think most Ole Miss fans would get over it after the trip to Gainesville next year. Ole Miss fans are pissed/hurt and the national media (besides Saban) has been blasting him. He text one of our beat writers at 4 in the morning asking if Trinidad was a hoe for saying he will look at all of his options. It clearly bothers him. The thought of everyone wanting you to fail can motivate you or cripple you. Outside of LSU fans, everyone will be rooting against him. We'll see how he handles that.

Dude you're playing Tulane, a team you beat by 5 touchdowns earlier in the year. Let's take it easy with the wishcasting: It doesn't get much "looks better" than a 5 touchdown beat down.

Stop being as pathetic as that baby shite soft schedule Lane Kiffin lined up for your school the last few years with a cakewalk into round 2 of the CFP.

I think Tulane will win straight up. Then back to New Orleans to get slaughtered by Georgia.

When is the last time Ole Miss looked better than they have in the last six years? In the early 60s?

10 years ago under Freeze. They actually beat the #1 team in the country, and they had to play in the SEC West, so always a difficult schedule.

In the past 2 years Ole Miss has played extremely weak schedules since the SEC West no longer exists. They played the easiest schedule in the SEC this year, and although it wasn't the easiest last year, their schedule was even easier then.

They played 2 ranked teams this year and went 1-1 against them. Last year they beat a pretty good Georgia team, but also lost 3 games to teams like Kentucky, blowing a game @ LSU etc. He only has 1 ranked win on the road while at Ole Miss, and overall I think he was 7-9.

Why did Kiffin spend 6 years at Ole Miss? Because nobody else was dumb enough to hire him away.

7-9 vs ranked teams is pretty good, especially at Ole Miss.

If you say so.

And I don't think Ole Miss is going to be the Ole Miss you think of them as pre-NIL. They are spending money, it wasn't all Lane. But we'll see.

No doubt.

And they played weak schedules.

I don't know if he'll win a natty or anything but it should be entertaining.

Eh Freeze’s tenure at Ole Miss is almost texclusivpey beating Alabama 2 timesZ

He was 36-25 otherwise. 24-18 if your don’t include the year it all
employed.

Ole Miss has absolutely been a better team the last 5 years overall.

Coaches can always get better. That's what experience should bring, learning from mistakes.

It's a risk, but who knows.

Hugh Freeze went:
7-6
8-5
9-4
10-3
5-7

That's better than or even as good as what Kiffin did at Ole Miss over the last 6 years?

10 years ago the went 10-3 on a more difficult schedule.

And they improved their record every year under Freeze, until his last which obviously had it's off the field scandals.

7 wins in 2012
8 wins in 2013
9 wins in 2014
10 wins in 2015.

I'd be shocked if they didn't.

We've already learned that Pete was actually running the program while Lane was on a sin tour of the Southeast.

I’ve thought about it. It’s a long shot, granted. But what if Ole Miss were to win it all? Lane is such an a-hole, is he the first ever coach to bail on a playoff bound team? If he fails at LSU he may never have a chance at a natty ever again.

those scandals didn't come out until after that season was over. Ole Miss received an NOA the following January. And if you want to talk about the investigation, it had been going on for years.

There is no way to argue in good faith that anything Freeze did was on the level of what Kiffin has done. It's just a dumb argument to make. Freeze had one year comparable to 4 seasons Kiffin has had there.
