You know Kiffin may lead on both LSU and Florida and then stay at Ol Miss. he may do it to frick with both fan bases and steal a recruit or two.

If he doesn’t leave for LSU then he’s probably biding his time waiting for an NFL opening. He was never going to go start over at UF

Agree Gruden to Arkansas now seems realistic. With all of these openings…and Oklahoma and Texas are also real possibilities….if Arkansas is going to make a splash to excite their base and the money…it could be Gruden. Some up and comer or some Coordinator will not do it. A Calipari like hire.

Florida isn't a threat for Kiffin but LSU certainly is.

College athletics is a mess right now. Were I Kiffin, I would play Ole Miss like a fine violin and make me the best extension possible and stay at Ole Miss.

I think it’s highly doubtful that Kiffin will stay at Ole Miss.

Why?

He might like it there?

LSU might be the one top 25 program I could see Gruden working flawlessly at. He’s got some of that Les Miles/Ed O magic in him

I see it the other way. Why leave Ole Miss where is practically a god? He's already making crazy money and can win just as good at Ole Miss as he could at LSU or Florida. NIL money is better at Florida and LSU, but he's having no problems getting players out of the portal. The pressure is 10x at Florida and LSU as it is at Ole Miss, so I just don't see him leaving.

I don’t think the pressure argument holds any weight with Lane based off some of the career choices he’s made and jobs he’s taken. He has all the confidence to take a high-risk high-reward job if thinks it’s the right move. If he stays at Ole Miss, I’m fairly confident it would be because he’s convinced himself that he’s already set up well enough to win championships and hasn’t hit the ceiling yet

this would be the smart move. If you're happy with your current income, why would you leave for more money and more pressure?

Why would he leave?

In his own words, his happiness and contentment at this point in his life is more important than money.

He's happy in Oxford, his kids live there, his son plays HS football there, and even his ex-wife moved back to Oxford for stability with the kids.

He has a good relationship with the AD and athletic department, which also couldn't always be said. The win over OU gave him an auto-extension through 2031. He's got all the financial support he needs, and does well in the portal.

He's not going anywhere.

Probably hasn't stepped foot in a high school in years. Knows nothing about NIL nor portal. Kids he recruits won't know who the hell he is. Every year his name comes up and just wish someone would hire and watch the disaster as the predictable show at LSU. Everyone tried to tell LSU that Kelly was good for a couple of losses each year.

Yeah I think Gruden would be a disaster at most top programs, hell if UF hired him I’d expect it to be even worse than Chapel Bill. That kind of chaos might somehow work at LSU
