What happens to LSU season if they are expelled?

I don’t think they get expelled but curious how it works. Obviously they can’t make the SECCG. But do they play the season out with the same schedule as an independent and it counts as a non conference game for SEC members? Or are they forced to forfeit the season?

I wouldn't waste any time thinking about this.

No one knows, it's never happened before. Doesn't seem to be addressed in the bylaws.

I thought it was “when” not “if.” Which one is it?

Not sure about LSU, but the conference should break up if they are.

LSU goes for 2 up 77-0 in the 3rd quarter at Ole Miss.....then recovers the onside kick and scores again.

If...., LSU plays the season out with the same schedule as an independent and it counts as a non conference game for SEC members.

There is an effective date that would be set.
I would assume after the season is over, however they would likely be banned from any post season play like the SECCG. bowl games and CFP could still take them if they wanted.

Not sure how that works. Not every SEC team would have the same number of conference games.

Dont worry about that, after they kick us, they will create those bylaws.

ACC already has this problem due to having an odd number of teams. Very screwy tiebreaker system.

IF it happened which it won’t, it likely wouldn’t go into effect until the following season. ESPN won’t let a cash cow off the hook during the season due to conference infighting no way. In the end Lane is going to show up in Atlanta give Sankey a pat on the back and say “my bad” and all is good.

Please don't kick them out til after basketball season Uncle Greg, so tPear gets hollowed out like a canoe by every single SEC team with a pulse.

Boogeyman will tell us. Jokes aside, a local radio guy in Texas said from what he heard the other members would play LSU as non-conference games but that only Ole Miss and 1 other non-named program would boycott the game against LSU. Said A&M, Miss State, Arky, and Texas would continue with the game. So that leaves either Tenn or Bama who would back out according to him....
