They’re 115-97 and 56-82 in SEC play since Fulmer’s last year. Nebraska has been more relevant than Tenner the last 18 years

What happened to Tennessee is that Michigan gave the playbook to slowing down their wide receivers and Tennessee decided to play them completely differently.

No idea why.

Tenner was looking ahead to their bowl game.

Tennessee was kinda overrated. Their defense mostly helped them stay in games, but their offense was lackluster since conference play started. 3 games in a row they didn't score a point in the first half and that showed its ugly face on the road against Ohio St. Maybe if their defense played better in pass defense and Sampson didn't get hurt it could've been a better game, but Tennessee struggled to win games this year. They even fell 17-7 against Vandy in the first quarter. Doing that against a much better team like Ohio St wasn't gonna fly.

Vols being Vols....repeat of an oft sung chorus

When the opposing team plays Rocky Top to punk your team in the 4th quarter, you just know you've laid another egg.

Anyone paying attention knew that they weren't playoff material. Not terribly far off but not there yet. Also, Tenner fans poked the bear and AOSU fans and players had an axe to grind.

The Alabama vs Tennessee game was some of the worst football/QB play I've seen in awhile.

Vols hit recruiting portal kids to rebuild the Oline a bit. They go after a couple WRs and a mix of DBs and a LB.

They are penciled into 10-2 for next year and move on.
