I think a lot of people overlook how important the offensive line is.

We know — our offensive line can’t generate any push and our running game suffers mightily for it.

Bama was on ESPN’s “upset alert” list for over half an hour against USF

Alabama the biggest surprise. Look at their individual drives. At least 7 of less than 5 yards per drive and 2 or 3 with negative yards.

They found a way to win and that's all that matters.

I know right? Could’ve been 56-17 had it not been for two suspect penalties

All 60 minutes of a game count. Alabama looked like arse on offense for 50 minutes. Then they looked unstoppable for 10 minutes.

BAMA never stopped moving the ball for 4 quarters. BAMA lost about 200 yards of offense with penalties, not counting the actual markoff. They also lost about 3 TDs that went with it. The 4th quarter is what happens when you score on big plays and they don't throw flags.

Bama. They were exposed by USF.

Meh. Not sure I felt Bama was too high off the ground and the game was about what I expected, even if it went a bit further along before they decided to pull a struggling RT and run off 28 pts

Also, I thought Arky played extraordinarily well. Turnovers killed them. They dominated everywhere else. They are a much improved team this year and a tough out.

Auburn was the biggest SEC shocker.

ND was the biggest fall from the sky. The crash, if literal, would have caused dinosaur extinction

If winning by 26 is getting exposed then what’s the word for losing by 7 to a 12pt underdog

My cautious optimism that our offense wouldn't suffer the yips this year, esp against equal or weaker opponents, evaporated.

Had no illusions of making the SEC championship but that 8 (+/-) wins was very possible.

Frustrating....

Your definition of exposed needs some work. On the other hand, Payton Thorne wasn't just exposed as helpless, he was thoroughly exposed as hopeless.

One could very easily make the argument that LSU looked worse against Nicholls State than Alabama looked against South Florida

Very easily make that argument. And I agree... It was a rough game. I told the kids to be prepared to leave by half and we ended up staying until the end of the game. We just couldn't leave, it never felt good....against that high school sized team.

Well if it’s any consolation, freeze has a hard on for Arkansas. We did something to him in the past that he can’t get over. He beat us with liberty and skull drug us last year before losing big to some New Mexico team.

That game will put your qb in the heisman watch.

Um, most of our fanbase thought 8 wins would be a miraculous season. Not sure how we came crashing back to earth after watching Payton Thorne suck yet again. We were never in the stratosphere.

Arkansas has to feel sick about the way they lost, but overall I think they feel better than they did going in. I think the answer here is Auburn.

Auburn

Followed closely by A & M. It has to kill their fanbase that they lost in week one to a horrible football team.

I think most people thought Auburn would handle Cal even if they thought they'd go on to win 2 or 3 SEC games.

Bama was on upset alert on ESPN. I made a thread about it. There is some good discussion in there.
