My point is, Gamecock fans such as yourself are right proud that SC is a member of the prestigious SEC and Clemson isn't, despite your lack of success in the SEC.
So Clemson entering the SEC would take away your one bragging point as you see it. lol
Clemson's brand isn't tied to what conference it plays in.

Clemson was a top 10 program in the 1980s, then had an anti-football / athletics college president who undermined the program and it took awhile to get back to the top.
CLemson played toughest schedule last year out of the top teams, and was regular season champs. If you think at Lville, at Va Tech, at NC State, at SC, FSU, Miami, Auburn, etc is easy, I don't know wut to say.
You say cupcake schedule but went 2-1 against SEC, and beat Auburn handily, the team Bama lost to handily.
