Two biggest ones for me are:

Arkansas and South Carolina joining the conference

South Carolina hiring Spurrier (and beating Tennessee and Florida his first year)

Bama winning the 1941 title.

The melt would have been incredible. The tears would taste like Margaritas.

Was probably the greatest melt ever in the modern era. It was spectacular. Just the melt over the tea-bagging alone was worth the price of admission.

I was PISSED when the SEC let Arkansas in for the same reasons I am still pissed they let TAMU and even more Mizzou in. Geographically, culturally and historically NOT part of the deep south. These are old SWC teams.

USCjr, OK...grudgingly.

I wish I had been along for some of the Bear Bryant and Pat Dye hunting trips. How much brown liquor got mixed up with shotguns on those things?

The 1997 Iron Bowl. The Ed Scissum fumble that lost the game for Bama and the play that got Bruce Arians fires as Bama’s OC. Bama had that game won and just had to run the clock out. Arians called a screen pass and Ed Scissum fumbles the ball to Auburn to give them the game winning FG. That game hurt bad and the melt would have been pretty bad on here if it were.

I remember when it happened. I thought Woody just punched the guy for intercepting it. But looking at the video, the Clemson kid was taunting the bench and Woody wasn't having none of that shite.

Imagine if coaches did this shite today. All of that bullshite taunting would stop.
