Sorry I edited. I think to win the award he needs to force a ton of fumbles and get a couple INTs. I think Young is a good gauge on what a rush end/LB would need in those categories to get close.

Young had 7 FF and Anderson has 0. That could be a key stat (I have no clue but that impacts a game more than just a sack I would say)

Agreed - I mean, it's just nearly impossible for a guy who doesn't score points to win the award. This year is probably the most open year for that kind of guy to win as it's been in a while, but even then there are too many voters who just don't think that way/won't vote for one of those guys.

This is what we call projecting. You really hope all these things happen, and they might, but deep down you know the fear that resides in your gut and it's amplifying all this loud, brash, idiocy that is spewing out of your fingers.

Like I said, see ya there.

Our entire defense was bad against A&M. It wasn’t because he’s an average player. They just weren’t mentally prepared. Thought it was gonna be easy. Once A&M figured that out, they just abused them,

He has 12.5 sacks and 20 TFL with at least 4 games left to go and maybe 5. He's a hell of a lot more the average and probably the best defender in the entire country.

He only has 3 games left before Heisman votes have to be in.

Yo0u people are retarded - like somehow you deserve all the awards every year. God I cant wait to whip your arse.

No offense, but you were the one that said he was a "decent" LB. I mean....don't you think you should back off of that comment, too?

I don't know who is the best defensive player in the country, There are too many variables. And I do agree that it is near impossible for a defensive player to win it. But Anderson is much, much better than decent.

That is like saying Nakobe Dean or Jordan Davis is decent.

Yea, and I really only like his chances for big games against Arkansas and Auburn. Georgia will protect well.

Not really related, but check this out. Went back to see the voting on Honey Badger's year to see how close he was. Look at the names on that list, while Mathieu still playing at a high level in the NFL.

Robert Griffin III 1,678 points, 405 first-place votes
Andrew Luck 1,407 points, 247 first-place votes
Trent Richardson 978 points, 138 first-place votes
Montee Ball 348 points, 22 first-place votes
Tyrann Mathieu 327 points, 34 first-place votes

Jordan Davis effects the game in ways other than just stats. And that’s the same for Will. They are just so disruptive that nearly every play is effected in some way. It’s incredible to watch. Can’t wait to see them in the pros.

Yep - and Mathieu fit as many of the criteria as you could for a defender to possibly win the award. Caused turnovers, scored on defense, ran back punts for TDs, played on a great team, etc.

And even he wasn't even close.

Our own players even admitted to such in interviews. They said that they as well as the coaches thought it would be easy. The rat poison got to them.

I agree. They are both special players in their own way. I don't see how anybody can say anything negative about either one.
I wish they would do away with the Heisman and give an award to the best Offensive player and another one to the best defensive player.

Maybe a sack strip score against UGA in title game
Pick off a pass or two

The turnovers and return specialist is what got the Honey Badger invited to New York

Bro are you kidding me?? Guy is like a decent LB. You need to sit down and drink some water.

You'd think that Georgia fans would have learned how to recognize good defensive players by now.
