Probably, a lot of Big 10 folks think that Ohio State actually has a tough schedule this year.

He screwed us by not even getting everyone paid more money for the network having 8 more SEC games to televise a year. And at a time where the CFP committee has shown they don’t care about SOS, he also made it that much harder for the SEC to maximize its participation in the CFP. From a practical standpoint, it was a poor decision. The only plus is fans get to enjoy more SEC games but with so much emphasis being placed on getting into the CFP and bowls being obsolete, is that aspect really worth it in the aggregate when more than half the fanbases check out 2/3 through the season when their team is eliminated from contention?

If USC had a good coach then that would be a respectable game. Oregon is always a good team but always seems to find a way to lose when it counts. Ohio St should beat the breaks off that schedule though.

But everyone took Sankey’s side with LSU. We could really use Wright right about now. And that’s why Kiffin wanted those two specific players.

As fans we get a conference match-up rather than a cup-cake game no one wants to watch, thus as a fan I think it's a great idea.

All of the Power Four Conferences play 9 conference games. Saban proposed 10.

It’s all about making the playoff now. I don’t want to watch the cupcakes take a beating anymore than anyone else does. When everyone else has such an easier road to the playoff I just do not see how it benefits the SEC. It’s probably going to cost the SEC at least 1 or 2 teams a year unless they expand the playoff. Plus the championship game participants will have to play 10 games a year. That’s a lot of SEC football. The risk of losing key players will go up too. I hate the cupcake games but the SEC would be better off.

All the other power 4 conferences are significantly weaker than the SEC too. Now if the other leagues and ND wants to play more competitive OOC games to make things more even then a 9 game schedule would make a little more sense. Without everyone else stepping up though then this move doesn’t make much sense.

I definitely prefer having an extra game on the schedule actually worth my time instead of Cupcake State.

I agree. Nobody wants to watch a 55-0 bloodbath. However like I said it’s all about the playoff now. If a team drops a game because they had to play a incredibly hard schedule while ND or Indiana didn’t have to play the starters for most of the second half all year because they played a nothing schedule then it makes no sense to ask SEC teams to go through one extra week of SEC football with absolutely nothing to gain out of it.
