I think they have a decent shot, but I admit I don’t know texas’ 2-deep all that well.
But the reason is, the talk this year is that Bama is “down” from their previous dominant place in the SEC. They used to seem unbeatable. Now - Multiple SEC teams now have the confidence and the talent to beat Bama. So they appear more vulnerable than in the past.
But they are still loaded with talent l, so I wouldn't bet big money on an upset.

Can Texas handle a team full of five star lineman and five star backs just grinding them into the ground? Because Bama is likely going back to the more physical game and I’m not sure Texas can handle that up front

Better wrap him in extra bubblewrap cause Dallas Turner gonna destroy your QB

I think Texas is going to get folded over like a lawn chair.
BOOMER!

They don't have Bryce to bail them out this year. 28-14 Texas.
Bama has been held to 14 or less points in 7/221 games under Saban.

I think the more Bama is disrespected, the more motivation dumbasses give them to step up. This is nothing new to anyone that remotely watches sports.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but I've seen nothing yet that makes me think Sark can win it all. Hell I'm not sure he can win the conference.
I really hope I'm wrong but our boosters (I say this because they are really the ones picking the coach) couldn't find a great coach if they caught one in bed with their wife.

Personally I think Bama will regress some this season and that Texas will be improved, but I think Bama is going to come out good and pissed and whip Texas. I’ve already put a little money on Bama. Interested to hear other thoughts
Money in the bank on the tide. Hate the bastards but they gonna shellack Baja Oklahoma.

They don't have the quality nor the depth to compete with Alabama if Bama is indeed going back to power football. It'll be tight for a half and then Bama imposes their will on the horns

Will Anderson didn’t do crap against Texas last year. Don’t see their other 5 star D linemen doing anything different
Didn't watch the game last year because why would I but Baja Oklahoma is unlikely to see a lot of Alabama's defense as Bama's offense is ripping off 6 and 6 yards per play between the tackles and the Horns have the ball about 5 times total the entire game.

Glaringly obvious.

Texas likes to lose big games, and small ones too. But this is a big game so Texas has earned the right to lose it.

I pretty much see a curb stomping of Texas by Bama. Alabama traditionally starts out each year strong. Scoring lots of points and string defenses. Saban’s teams are better coached early in the year than the opponents. It’s only later in the season when injuries and game planning take their toll on Bama. Sark still has not shown he is a big time/game coach. And lastly, a big part of Saban’s aura is intimidation. He will want to put as big an asswhipping as possible on Texas prior to their joining the SEC.

Based on the brands involved and with it being the 2nd game of the season, I’m predicting wild overreactions either way.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see us stun Bama (catching new qb/coaches early) and then turn around a lay an egg in Waco.

Fired Gameday expert David Pollack was right last year, I’m sure Texas is going to get smoked again this year.

quote:
Listen, Texas loves barbecue. They love their brisket. They’re gonna get smoked today. Absolutely smoked. Alabama is the best team in the country for a reason. Texas, just try to hold on, try to stay healthy. Have a fun rest of the year, but you ain’t winning today.

It's like y'all don't even remember saying all of the exact same shite last year only to be a wiped-off safety away from the biggest eggs in your faces

Baja Oklahoma
