Texas: Throwing trash, and drivers ed not required for a license.

Also, a simple upside down hand gesture sends them crying home to their mommies.

Perhaps I overstated it a bit, but I find both are states full of a-holes and bad drivers which is the main point of my observation. Not everyone, but a lot. Nashville is basically Columbus with Music. It is clean though for the most part so that’s a plus. Half of Knoxville has the appearance of communist Russia and the other half reminds me of a Dayton - Cincy mixed child. Have some family in Dandridge and those folks seem okay, but many are them are just transplants from eastern Kentucky.

This might be the first time anyone has ever described Jax as “pretty cool.”

Yeah this tells me you've never been to Texas. None of us run to mommie and lots of us hate the hook'em hand gesture as much or more than you. Unlike some states Texans are diverse in their college football allegiances.

So I really only spent time in two SEC states.

Mississippi - The people there we so kind. Good people. Nothing bad to say.

Texas - Although I was only in Dallas, I was ok with it. I was white knuckling it on the highway. I do remember going to a Sushi place that was ran by Spanish-Americans (Mexicans)...so that was prety cool.

I went through Arkansas and only saw one Wal-Mart, and of course I stopped there.

Coming back from Mississippi, I hit an ice storm near Memphis. I had no issues, but others....well there sevral accidents.

Missouri: Kind of a colder and flatter Mississippi. I know they well say "but the ozarks" and get all mad at me again, but the fact you're naming a single area is kind of my point. It's like if Mississippi and Illinois had a kid.

Ok....that was pretty damn funny. I'll clap my hands for you on that one.

Having drove all over this country, the worst state to drive in was Massachusetts. I waa willing to go to jail just to lay hands on multiple idiots

Every state has nice areas that are usually away from their largest cities.

Most larger cities from New Orleans to Jackson to Memphis to Montgomery are crapholes.

I've traveled pretty extensively in all the states and like parts of each...although I have to look harder in Louisiana. Coastal MS is nice...but go north of I-10 and I'd pass. North AL and coastal AL are nice areas...I personally like any areas out in the sticks away from any cities. Montgomery has become unlivable unfortunately. Georgia is fine...Atlanta wouldn't be my thing. Florida...I like the Forgotten Coast and the St Augustine area. Texas...like has already been said, it could be 3 separate states. San Antonio is my favorite area...pass on the other urban areas. West Texas is desolate...not my thing. Arkansas...northwest area is nice...Little Rock and south...pass.

So if I was going to live somewhere, it'd be coastal AL...Fairhope area...north AL in the Huntsville or Shoals area...or north GA/southwest NC.

This is true. You will find the least Texans there.

Atlanta doesn’t suck. Now, if you want to talk about the traffic, …

It’s probably more accurate to say that Atlanta was once a good city with a great vibe. But as a resident of fulton co for > 25 years, I can no longer say that. Traffic congestion is part of the problem, … but the crime, corruption, malfeasance, and schools have all worsened steadily for decades …. to the point where even the suburbs are beginning to have less appeal for citizens.

What was once a beautiful city is now a graffiti-ridden, litter-strewn, community filled with rampant homelessness and open air drug markets. Kemp has largely ignored the city in favor of the remainder of Georgia… (by agreement I’m told) …. and it shows.

20 years ago I would’ve never carried a weapon while going downtown to shop, do business, or meet friends…. now edc is a common discussion in our household and I only go ITP when I absolutely must. Which is “rarely” anymore.

Alabama: Forrest Gump, slow speed limits, great football
Arkansas: home, beautiful from hot springs to north west part of state
Texas: really can’t hate on the state itself. Parents live there and I love visiting. HEB rocks
Louisiana: best food in the south but dirty and crappy roads
Oklahoma: tornadoes and Indians
Mizzou: Branson and table rock is nice. Not really SEC material as far as fan base goes.
Kentucky: was my home in my time in military. Lots of Amish in southern part of state. Northern part is pretty cool.
Tennessee: beautiful state on the East side
Mississippi: meh
Florida: fun state. Beautiful beaches
Georgia: bulldogs
South Carolina: never been there
