Was it ever actually confirmed he was sleeping with prostitutes over his wife? Or was he just the pimp for recruits and players?

He hired prostitutes for himself when he was on the road using his school-issued phone which is subject to FOIA requests. A Mississippi State beat writer who was obsessed with the Ole Miss NCAA investigation (and is with Ole Miss in general) made a FOIA request and found the numbers and called them.

Being a devout Christian does not mean you do not sin, we all sin. Being a Christian means you have been saved by the Grace of God through his Son who paid the price.
What saved Hugh's marriage is that he had confessed his transgressions to his wife and some Church Leaders PRIOR to the MSU reporter conducting the investigation. Hugh was wrong, he sinned, he asked for forgiveness and it was given. He is blessed to get a chance at a place like Auburn.
You folks were not around during the Bear Bryant, Pat Dye, Wimp Sanderson days. Hell one of our most revered Presidents had multiple affairs in the white house (Kennedy). My favorite President (Clinton)did have sexual relations with that women.

Hugh was such a huge piece of shite before Ole Miss. Since he's very obviously still a narcissist as evidenced by his absolute refusal to take responsibility for Auburn's lack of offensive production, I'm gonna guess he still is. He should spend less time in church and more time in therapy getting actual help for his Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Cratered the program. Got fired with cause so ole miss paid him zero dollars. Got ole miss Put on probation and depleted the talent on the roster. Took nearly 5 years to recover from this fricking a-hole. Auburn still hired him knowing fully well what he had done.

Were you one of the escorts? How much did you get paid? It's the only reason I would see that you would defend this behavior, and even then, it's a terrible defense because you're just saying "well at least he admitted it shortly before he got caught".

JMHO but I always figured he was soliciting hookers for prospects and recruits because as soon as the story broke HF confessed to all these sins and said it was all for him. OM took that info and immediately fired him and confessed their sins and closed the book on it. I always thought they all buried it as quick and deep as they could to make sure nobody looked any deeper. The other thing was IIRC that Hugh’s wife stuck by him without any marital repercussions at all…
The reason for this was if they did this for underage recruits then jailtime and lawsuits would soon follow along with lifetime ban on working in CFB

Yes, the prostitute stuff is true and despicable.
But when Robert Nkemdiche, Laremy Tunsil, Tony Connor, and Laquon Treadwell showed up at the doorstep and took down Bama the midget sent over his henchmen.

The prostitute stuff was what got him fired. Before that, we had self-imposed a year bowl-ban and planned to hold on and fight for Freeze.
Houston Nutt was the one, ironically, who had his attorney file the FOIA d/t a defamation suit as Coach Freeze was saying all the cheating occurred during the Nutt era and that's how the phone numbers popped.
