There's gotta be someone else for Vandy than Tulane. Or is that some long dead rivalry I'm unaware of?

I guess being a newcomer to the conference you are unaware Tulane was once a proud member of the SEC. Even though Tulane left the SEC in 1966, Vandy kept playing Tulane all the way into the mid 1980's.

Why? I would go with Ga Tech since we used to actually be rivals.

I agree, but their academics aren't really there anymore. Solid, but not outstanding. Give me Duke any day of the week. That is the team I want to beat the crap out of every year.

I knew about Tulane and the SEC. I did not know you continued playing them into the mid 80s.

The more you know.

Mississippi and MS State- Southern MS

First off, we are Ole Miss. Secondly, Mississippi Southern wouldn't be our biggest non-con rival....To be honest, Memphis would be much larger. Just up the road.

As for MSU....not sure who they prefer playing in non con games...I think Jackson State or Alcorn State is more their speed.

AU/Ga Tech rivalry would be much better than AU/FSU

If you were at all familiar with the history, you would understand:

Auburn - Georgia Tech

Pretty sure that GT has played Auburn more than any other team other than UGA.

That would be a good one. I could also see UNC or NCSU being a natural rival for UT (due to geography and the fact that Tennessee used to be part of North Carolina.

Vandy - Tulane

I think Wake Forest or Duke would be a natural rival for Vandy.

More recently than that.

2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2001 and thru the 90's etc...It's fun to beat the Greenie Weenies but it's not much of a rivalry anymore. The last time they won was 1982.

For a while they were competitive in baseball with us however.

I would say Arkansas, but I don't think it would be that big of a deal to the younger generation.

Anymore, Oklahoma would probably have a bigger draw than a Texas game.

I have always thought that an Arkansas and Okie Lite match up would be a good rivalry.

Would love to see and FTR, the two were scheduled to play a home and home of sorts here recently but of course it was cancelled for whatever shitty reason.

Auburn/GT is another great choice as it's both a historic and geographic rivalry. I read that AU/GT is the second oldest rivalry in the southeast.

GT/UGA obviously play every year. I would like to see GT try and play 1 other sec team every year, it just makes too much sense from a geographic stand point.
