We literally have nothing to lose... No matter what happens Saturday, we are clearly ahead of schedule in every conceivable way.

Doesn't matter. Bama has been in a lot of big games with a lot to lose the last 3 seasons, and lost one. Got revenge for that one.

We're not acting like Auburn has no interest in winning. But, if I was forced to pick who has pressure to win the game, I'd pick Bama for all the reasons you already recognize.

I agree. Bama has more pressure but most of the players and coaches on this team have faced pressure like this and you can't say the same thing about Auburn.

It's been since 2008 vs Florida that I've seen Bama lose with huge amounts of pressure on them. MAYBE the 2010 LSU game (still a lot to play for that day).

Just FYI: Alabama plays in jerkin hair every other year and you had trouble selling out once again this year and you had both Alabama and Georgia at home.
BTW: I heard your mini-ticket package was a big hit with Alabama fans.....enjoy!!!

we are playing with house money

if we lose we still go to a BCS Bowl which is just 10,000x better than anything anyone thought we could do this year.

Eh, I think they're even in this regard. On one hand this group of Bama players has been in bigger, more meaningful situations and had success. But AU has been to the brink and come out alive several times this year. I think Bama is better prepared for the big stage, but Auburn is better prepared for the dog fight, at least mentally and emotionally. Physically, Bama is likely better in all those areas.

The one caveat is that Auburn has to control that emotional angle for it to play in their favor. Traditionally Auburn is very good at that, and I think Gus has done well in managing it. I expect it to be a strength, but there is the chance it works against them if they can't handle it or things go wrong early.

It's not easy to go 10-1 in this conference and be ranked in the top 5 entering the last week of the season. To expect to accomplish this every year is unrealistic.

The success of this Auburn team and staff should certainly be applauded. With that said, if the game is still in doubt entering the 4th quarter and AU doesn't win, I can't imagine there won't be any disappointment from the AU faithful. Of course the team will be praised for acquitting themselves well. But to watch your rival celebrate a berth to a conference championship game on your field after winning a game that you could have won... When you know that could have been you... There is disappointment in that moment.

Both teams have a lot at stake.
