I think CBS does a great job broadcasting college sports.
At kickoff:
On CBS at Kyle Field, you’ll get a pan over the 12th man, see fans shouting gig’em, see the towels waving and hear a refrain from the Aggie War Hymn.
On ESPN, you’ll get a close up shot of a mediocre QB they try to pretend is a star like Kellen Mond.
ESPN’s scoreboard is an obtrusive disaster too just so they can shove an ad in your face.

I’ll miss the theme song.

Oh no, I won't see Mizzou's one game a year on there.

I was about to make fun of how you won’t see your annual Arkansas game anymore

I will miss Gary and Nessler, but at least there will be less commercials. Gary knows the game despite what people say.
Ha! The mouse is nothing but commercials.

Man, frick that scoreboard. I’ve been saying that for years. Plus we all have smart phones now. Let me see the purest version of the game I’m trying to watch and I’ll just look up the other scores on my own during commercials. That shite makes me irrationally angry.

I hate CBS' break away music as it breaks for commercial. I won't miss that. I like Danielson. I liked (person, not commentator) Lundquist. I like ESPN commentators better (dare I say...Herbstreit, included). There, I said it.

frick CBS and their commercial-a-thon versus every "Game of the Century" they 've fricked up.
frick fat-assed Verne and his mommandem.

like the ABC game of the week took like 4.5 hours to play.
This weeks commercials are brought to you by The Florida Gators.

I'm glad and I don't dislike the CBS announcers.
I hate the damn length of the CBS games. They are too long and there are WAY too many commercials on CBS games.

I will miss CBS for two reasons:
1. Despite the annoying announcers and insane number of commercials, their production value was unmatched. It was the best looking football game on tv every week.
2. It is relatively easier to catch CBS on rabbit ears at a tailgate than it is to either bring a satellite dish or some sort of wifi hotspot/streaming setup to watch ESPN. The 2:30 CBS game was almost always what we were watching while tailgating before a night game. Unless what’s replacing it is on ABC instead of ESPN, it’s going to be significantly more difficult to watch while tailgating.

The stats say you are wrong. Every CBS game had longer run times.

Only thing that could make this better is the legend Beth Mowins in the 2:30 kick slot

One of the most exciting things for me, after Mizzou joined the SEC, was realizing that music was actually going to play before their game.
I was so pumped. I grew up listening to that theme song in Nebraska, Texas, and Colorado. I was a college football junkie- even as a little fella. Hearing the song associated with Mizzou…it was just special. I’ll miss that intro. Maybe ABC/Disney or the SEC can buy it from CBS?
Anyway. Go ahead with the Mizzou doesn’t belong here comments. Or are we still busy hating on the whorns and boomers?
Now go do meth in your trailer yankee.

I don't give a flying frick about commentators or "coverage," I'm going to watch the game. I don't need whatever dumbass in a suit to explain the rules or the play to me

This was dumb and dumber by the SEC. You never put all your eggs in the same basket.
CBS’ quality puts ESPN to shame. Danielson is very knowledgeable and usually spot on even though he is annoying as h*ll. He is the current day Howard Cosell.
Having a National game of the week on one of the legacy networks was a tremendous advantage for the SEC.
They should have kept CBS as part of the mix.

Well they have far and away the best theme music on the SEC on CBS so there's that.
