The "rights" fee that Seattle pays TAMU is a paltry $5,000 per year.
It isn't (or never was) about Texas A&M making any kind of money off of the mark.
No big deal.

Agreed, but trying to say that UTA is more "Texan" than us is more likely to get a laugh than a butthurt.

In a non-trolling context, invoking the degree of Texan for the respective schools definitely works.
I got in a fight outside of the Cotton Bowl with Texas fans for defending A&M. This was like 5 years before TAMU joined the SEC. And yes, it was a trashy thing to do.

LSU fans get annoyed when you point out they ripped off "Death Valley" from Clemson and also lost the Chicken Bowl to them.
