Slim.

You have to keep the big6 continuity for cross div games.

It adds three more worthwhile games tk an already awesome sec slate

LSU-fla
Ut-bama
AU-Uga

Can someone please explain to me why there needs to be a change? It seems like it's working just fine as it is.

Thanks,

Because teams from each division don't play each other enough.

Go back to the 10 teams. Send Mizz, Arky,S.C. and A&m back where they came from. Then play all teams in conference.

Enough for what?

In the 58 seasons from the start of the SEC in 1933, to the split in 1992, LSU played:

Auburn 17x
UGA 19x
Tennessee 20x

That used to be enough. What changed?

It gets kind of boring playing the exact same teams every year.

We've been ruling the conference for decades... get used to it.

Please leave LSU as Alabama's permanent c-d game... as a fan I'd hate to lose an opportunity to go 8-1 against any team every 9 years.

Why don’t we put these crybaby fairy **** motherfrickers in one division and they can play each other every year and we won’t have to schedule all the rest of our games around them?
AU
UA
UGA
UT
Vandy
Mizzou
SCAR

FU
LSU
Kentucky
Arky
State
Ole Piss
Aggots

Then they can suck each other’s arse and play with each other’s nuts every year and the rest of us wouldn’t be held hostage to their must play rivalries and stupid arse permanent cross division games.
Give Auburn, Georgia, bama and Tennessee what they want and let them play each other every year and weaken the division by throwing in Mizzou, Vandy and Scar to give them some easy wins so the division isn’t too hard and they cry like a pregnant 14 year old.

They will never go for it because they are pussies.

It’s fricking stupid to put 4 teams that just HAVE to play each other every year in different division. Only idiots from Alabama could come up with something as stupid as what we have now. Only people from Alabama can be so god damn stupid.

Holy hell you’re an enormous pussy. Even for an LSU fan, this is just next level emotion and crying.

A - UGA DOES NOT consider SC a rival
B - No divisions = MORE TIE-BREAKERS

A - This topic always shows up
B - Shortly conferences are going to be shuffling again, so HOPEFULLY the SEC will read these comments/suggestions & plan better than the current format they gave us.
C - It's interesting to see what people who have researched this topic suggest as a plan.

Weren't teams allowed to schedule whomever before 1992.....thereby creating massive breaks between games?

I only see the bitching on this board, and frankly, this board bitches about everything. I don't consider this place to be the general consensus of SEC fans.

Yes, contracts were done between universities.
quote:

creating massive breaks between games?

Yes, teams contracted among themselves, thereby creating gaps in series' histories. So? That didn't seem to bother people 50 years ago, what's so different about people that it bothers them now?

Let's see...we have 14 teams now & people are griping about playing somebody every 6 years when you HAVE to play every team in your conference vrs. whenever prior. So is it b about not playing back then or b about not playing now?

True, a small conference with a full round-robin would be ideal. HOWEVER, how many conferences would you then have?

WTF does being a rival have to do with anything? Who else would you put in place?
Fact is we played SC more times than any other SEC school not named AU or UF.

Gee,how on earth are we gonna figure out tie breakers? Sooooo difficult.

Sorry,it's gonna happen sooner or later.Networks will eventually push it in that direction.

SEC rivalry games are the best CFB has to offer, and this structure is built around those games. No amount of bitching is going to make any kind of significant change.

And you can keep the rivalries in tact with the 3 permanent opponents and rotating the rest.

We'll get to see UGA vs Bama&LSU more often plus we still get to keep playing traditional rivals like AU & UF annually.

Gonna make for some incredible TV ratings

Mizz is half southern açcording to the imaginary line that divides the north from the south...Mason/Dixon Line.

P.S. right or wrong, and mostly for the wrong reasons, Missourians, for the most part, took up arms and fought on the side of the confederacy.

So, cut them some slack! They try to be southern.

Those are listed as the 3 must play yearly schools. To me, SC doesn't qualify for that. I'ld put Miss. or Tn. in that slot. I'ld also be fine with Ala. or LSU.

As to the tiebreakers: you have 3 teams end up at 7-1. Team A beat Team B. Team B beat the school Team C lost to. Teams A & C didn't play each other. Who goes to the title game?

Divisions compare 7 teams to each other......hince the argument for them. That & they tell us which 2 teams will be on the SECCG.
