Why don’t we put these crybaby fairy **** motherfrickers in one division and they can play each other every year and we won’t have to schedule all the rest of our games around them?

I get where you are coming from and I wouldn't care if they did just what you propose here but the more college football turns away from the traditions and rivalries that made it what it is the more detrimental to the game it will be.

Yet I've NEVER heard LSU say the current East was hard. Now the suggestion to add Ala. & Aub. wouldn't then make the West easy with: Ark., Vandy, Miss., MSU, Ky., SC, & Mizz. (whichever schools were from the East)?

To me, SC doesn't qualify for that

They kind of do.Its a close by school and the games are usually pretty intense and packed with fans.We don't need Bama or LSU
as a 3rd when already have AU and UF.

As to the tiebreakers: you have 3 teams end up at 7-1. Team A beat Team B. Team B beat the school Team C lost to. Teams A & C didn't play each other. Who goes to the title game?

Big XII tie breakerI'm fine with this.

LSU fans think this is a fair system because they would be the only Big 6 school not to have two other Big 6 schools in their pod

The good thing about pods is that all the traditional rivalries can get protected AND we get to play the entire conference within two years. It's the best of both worlds IMO.

I don't really give a shite about playing the entire conference.

I want the rivalries showcased and a schedule that facilitates getting 2 SEC teams into the playoff.

That's fair if you don't care about playing the entire conference regularly. I'd like that, but people can disagree on it.

What I think you're missing is the traditional rivalries piece. The pod system would preserve those well. The rivalries would be showcased.

But what "pods" are being presented?

That's the catch in this thread....a certain poster from LSU is complaining about c-d rivalries because they don't have any.

Here’s my crack at it. Preserves all the historic rivalries except LSU/Ole Miss. It’d be a shame to lose Georgia/Tennessee and Florida/Tennessee as every year games, but keep in mind that any game that doesn’t involve pod partners would still happen every other year.

UGA: Florida, Auburn, USC
Florida: UGA, USC, Kentucky
USC: UGA, Vandy, Florida
Tennessee: Vandy, Kentucky, Bama
Kentucky: Tennessee, Vandy, Florida
Vandy: Tennessee, USC, Kentucky
Missouri: Arkansas, A&M, Ole Miss
Bama: Auburn, Tennessee, Miss State
Auburn: Bama, UGA, Ole Miss
Ole Miss: Miss State, Auburn, Missouri
Miss State: Ole Miss, Bama, LSU
LSU: A&M, Arkansas, Miss State
Arkansas: LSU, A&M, Missouri
A&M: LSU, Arkansas, Missouri

But those aren't pods.

Yes they are. Pod has been used by tons of media to describe the scheduling system above. Here are a few examples:
ESPN on SEC Pods

Alabama’s largest newspaper on SEC pods

MSN quoting Jimbo

The Athletic on Pods

This is pods.

Pods mean the SAME group of teams playing each other in that group. The link in the OP only references 3 must-play yearly teams.

For ex.: It lists Ga. with Aub., Fl., & SC. Does Aub. have Fl. & SC? Nope - Ala. & MSU. Fl. with Tn.. SC with Vandy.

So, HOW is that a pod when Ga., Aub., Fl., & SC DON'T play each other EVERY YEAR?

What I called is a pod because that is what all of the sports media is calling it. It’s an adopted word now across lots of outlets that I linked.

You linked a video game forum.

Didn't know #'s 2 & 3 were video games.

#1 is close to my plan for 16 teams (except random teams from the non-played pods would be replaced with your perm rivals in those pods.)
