So sites are obviously already set long term on potentially adding FSU and Clemson. Clearly that makes sense as the SEC sucks all of the air out of college football. That also makes sense geographicaly. But what about Ohio State and Michigan? How do they factor into this? Do we see an expansion basically with Clemson, FSU, Ohio State, and Michigan to round it out to 20?

That might trigger an anti-trust lawsuit.

Where does it end? Just put everyone in the SEC and split it into 6 divisions of 12

I’m sorry, I meant “pods”

I think OSU may be in trouble. They have been able to beat both Ou and Texas over some blue chip defensive recruits in Texas using the often true phrase: Big 12 doesn’t play defense.

I think the state of Texas in the next 5 years will shore up its border and OSU won’t get the blue chips its been getting in Texas

I think the B1G and Pac form some type of alliance. Not sure how exactly it would work.

ACC is who should be shaking in their boots. They better figure out how to strengthen up and quick. They need ND badly.

The minute Ohio State and Michigan are added to the Southeastern Conference, I am done with this clown show.

Look at those stupid, inbred, retarded southerners thinking they are going to play football. Don’t they know there is oppression and myocarditis in the world? How can they think about football.

They could threaten to lock out their conference champions from the CFP if the SEC threatens to go bigger.

They've done it before. They locked out their conference champions from the Bowl Coalition and Bowl Alliance, which necessitated the creation of the BCS.

They don't have any control over the Rose Bowl anymore. But by threatening to disrupt the Playoff, they could get their way.

I don't think that's true. Even with the playoff the Rose Bowl has been adamant about keeping the Pac/Big matchup.

The problem with them is no one cares what they think, yet they're the last ones in the room to realize it.

This us going to get broken up eventually. Got some of us older posters you remember Microsoft getting sued because they basically bought out all other software companies and they were accused of setting up a monopoly.

I think the B1G's covid fiasco exposed some problems the conference has...hell I think there were athletic departments and administrations of the same school that strongly disagreed.

What a CF that was

Yeah already got passed up by Missouri and A and M I can see why you'd be mad about being passed up by 4 more teams as soon as they come into the conference.

You're a retard. I care about cultural and geographical integrity. Geographically Mizzou doesn't fit IMO, and Texas doesn't fit culturally. But close enough on both accounts. Ohio State and Michigan to the SEC would just flat out be retarded, like you.

Can’t speak for everyone in ohio state land but I do think this move hurts osu and the big ten writ large.

That being said, I also think we are evolving to something that isn’t really college football anymore anyway. It’s pro football in school colors. In which case I’m honestly not sure how much I even care.

If it becomes an even more regionally dominated homogenized sport than it already is - oh well. It was fun while it lasted I guess

Wholeheartedly agree. Might as well just watch the NFL at this point, which I have actually done more of as I've gotten older the past few years. Something about going day drinking on a Sunday with 10+ games to watch at once. Kind of nice. I don't let any of the political shite bother me and just enjoy it for what it is... too bad I'm a Falcons fan.
