Keeping this place in shambles ever since he accepted the LSU job.

FAU winning 2 conference titles in 3 years is pretty good.

Beating UGA by 18 in 2024 is easily his greatest win. Don't think there is another that would come close to that.

That game put him in the playoffs then he decides to start a 6th string receiver at RB in the swamp and loses knocking himself out of the playoffs.

He’s a frick up. Always has been.

His biggest wins: knocking off top 5 Oregon with unranked usc. Beating Penn st in the peach bowl in 23. Beating uga in the regular season and almost beating bama until mt Cody stepped in. That’s the definitive greatest hits lol

I get it Lane hasn’t hit the game winning field goal in the bottom of the ninth to win the Stanley Cup, but the architect of LSUs greatest season was another Ole Miss head coach.
So I’m sure he will be fine at LSU.

When he inevitably leaves LSU, it’ll be in shambles. He’s never left a job without burning it down.

Are you “bookmarking it” (I assume that means you are going to re-visit this later?) bc has no impressive wins yet?

If you feel that way, are you concerned?
What do feel like are his greatest strengths as a coach (against good competition)?

So both of his biggest wins were from this past season?
Nothing in the previous 5 HC jobs?
(assuming OM as the 5th)

Don’t make fun of Sumrall or Golesh ever again if we are now calling his accomplishments at FAU his most impressive…..

I’m right there with you though…..FAU is the only place he ever competed for the top of conference. He gets a lot of credit from what he did at OM, but without buying the #1 defense in the nation then he never wins 9 games the first time he did (the defense won 3 of their 4 toughest games in 2024 bases off SOS) unless you consider 23 points “an offensive explosion”.

Last year was without a doubt his “one shining moment” and what did he do? Try to destroy it all before it could finally come to fruition.

Just seems like 5 HC jobs that consists of NFL, G-5- and P-4 would produce more than a regular season win over Georgia as the consensus answer as his “greatest win or accomplishment of his career”

I know right?

I’m being told to “melt more” and the same BS when I asked why LSU talks so much shite about Bama, and then all I do is ask an honest and sincere question about LK aka “LSU’s sword of vengeance” that’s going to right all the wrongs that Bama has done to them throughout the centuries……

So I’m just trying to get a feel for what we are up against in their opinion…..and of course it “melt”. Like what grown man uses that term?

Do they forget he was Bama’s OC and we are all quite familiar with his shtick.

LSU fans tout Saban’s “endorsement” but yet he FIRED the guy during the Playoffs.

Just like “Saban will live the rest of his life regretting leaving LSU”. Meanwhile he never came back and the guy has an office in Tuscaloosa and still on the payroll and spends time with DC on a consistent basis still after retirement.

According to the Rant, he hasn’t won anything of consequence.

I just wish some of the posters who create multiple threads about LSU every day would show that same level of interest in their own teams. For a team that so many of you claim to dislike, you sure do spend an awful lot of time talking about LSU. I’ll never understand why some of you seem more fascinated with LSU than you are with your own teams. If I disliked another school that much, I certainly wouldn’t spend my time keeping up with everything they do.

That’s what is so surprising to me too.
I know I’m “melting” whatever the f*** that means, I assume it means getting angry, but that doesn’t make any sense in this context.

It appears that anything that gets posted on here that isn’t pro-LSU is presumed to be an “attack” against them, and then receives the automated responses:

- “Melting”
(again I assume this means being angry but if it’s some other slang that isn’t meant to be derogatory then I apologize for assuming incorrectly)

- “You are afraid”

- “GFY”

- “STFU”

It doesn’t appear that conversing genuinely is plausible on this message board. That really is unfortunate bc there are so many members on this board that are fans from every team in the SEC on here, and it could really be a cool thing to have real discussions.

I agree with you 100%.

This message board is (at least labeled) the “SEC Rant”, but when I try to read about anything a mutual Bama fan has to say, then it immediately devolves into the same automated responses from
LSU fans.

I understand the Chicken guy made this website and that he’s an LSU fan (I assume), and he did a phenomenal job.

LSU fans are fortunate to have a great format to post on that is free to all LSU fans in “Tigerdroppings.com”…..

The way it’s setup, it appeared to me that this board was for the rest of us who are fans of other teams in the SEC, hence the “SEC” Rant

In all honesty, I don't think I've seen you start many, if any, threads discussing teams other than LSU. If you really want to have meaningful discussions with fans from across the SEC, you might want to start some threads about other teams as well instead of making LSU the predominant topic. It would certainly make for a more interesting and balanced discussion.
