I was no fan of Mathieu's antics on Twitter. I also didn't care fo the way our Secondary woofed at the West Virginia receivers during warm-ups while watching them last year.

There are a lot of things that a lot of players at our program and others do that I don't care for.

But he Tweeted some condescending things out in the offseason and said some bragadocious stuff. On the one hand, as an Alabama Fan and a fan of the game as a whole, you have to appreciate confidence. But there are other ways of going about it.

Truth be told, I'd rather have his brand of it than TM7's. I quite frankly felt he went over the line. In reality, he obviously did.

But the cracks about our SEC Championship Rings when he Tweeted a pic of his own ring? Well, hey...enjoy your own success. You won a National Title & beat us in our own backyard to do so. You avenged a heated loss in a game of the century setting with an electric atmosphere in a season you guys thought was derailed at first. No need to rub your opponents noses in it.

Obviously, there's some sour grapes here. I'm just saying that sometimes its great to be confident, and even elite athletes need to have a somewhat unhealthy level of it. But I just didn't feel like that was acting like you'd been there before. Which Jones had.

I dunno...that's about it as far as I'm concerned. He's a versatile, talented OL. You're lucky to have him and have him remain healthy.

I'm a huge Auburn fan and cannot see how anyone can not like Barrett Jones. He's a good kid. Being the dad of a 10 yr old football player, I for one like seeing guys like Barrett Jones who are a good example to kids. We need more Barrett Jones types and less like Michael Dyer and all the others like him.

Barrett Jones has won 2 NC's, 4.0 in Accounting from BAMA(top 15 undergrad program), graduated in 3 yrs, working on his Masters in Accounting now, and is a projected 1st or 2nd round draft pick.
