Good luck Tut. Hope everything goes well with your treatment and recovery.

My condolences on your friends, that sucks
You are one lucky son of a gun that they found the tumor due to your broken leg, I will drink to your good health and recovery
Congratulations on having a son go to THE University. I am sure when he comes home for the LSU/Bama game he will have a great time.

Sorry for all the interesting times you’ve been living. At least your boy will get to see a natty in person.

Bro, you kind of buried the lead here. That sucks man, RIP to your friends and hope you get better soon and kick cancer's arse.

Thanks, I guess I shouldn’t bitch about it, I was getting a CT Scan for something totally different and unrelated which was negative and they just happened to see the tumor on the top of scan, which was completely non symptomatic and rare as albino deer, (6000-7000k a year in USA), and they say they don’t think it’s spread etc, so actually a lucky break, unlike my broken Leg which is pretty much all I was worried about at the time.
I was about to go glass half full and say that as bad as it sucks to have a broken leg and then get a cancer diagnosis at least the broken leg led to the cancer being spotted far earlier than it otherwise would but you beat me to it. It sounds like hopefully the cancer was detected early and can be treated with no further complications. As bad as it is having a broken leg breaking it very well could end up being a huge blessing in disguise. Hope all goes well for you with your recovery from the cancer as well as your leg.

This is pretty weird and ironic. I'm currently in East Jefferson Medical Center (LSU) for cancer surgery complications, hopefully home soon.
And as for your son going to Alabama, my daughter loved the life in Athens and I ended up paying 5 years of out of state tuition there, they could have named one of those damn buildings after me. You'll get over it but you will have to at least pretend to pull for them while your kid is there. Good luck brother.

My prayers are with you my friend…and the Lord moves in mysterious ways. This too shall pass. Regards.

Had it myself. Keep a positive attitude. Its the best way. Passed my 5 year window in 2020. Feel great, its just a memory now.
Scared the hell out of me though. Best advice is during and when the treatments are over stay in bed. Your body is wrecked and has no immunity to anything. I caught double pnuemonia right away and was laid up for 2 months with that.
That came way closer to killing me than cancer.
Best wishes and luck with your battle.

Damn, brother. Other than your son making good life choices, that is a lot. Hang in there at fight back. Thoughts are with you.

Sorry, we gave the voodoo priest a pretty sweet NIL deal.

The REC is all powerful. (Lol) They could definitely be behind the broken leg, the nurse was definitely a bama fan.
Thanks for the well wishes, I am too damn mean to die any time soon. I will be fine. It does suck getting old, almost half my good friends are already gone. We all eventually pay the piper for the smoking, drugs, heavy drinking, and not taking care of ourselves, eventually, although this shite has nothing to do with any of that. (Lol)
I guess I will have to pull for Bama a few times this year, but I am not wearing anything with a big red A on it, but I will wear a red polo or something if I have too.

quote:I hate to hear about all the other bad stuff you're gone, and are going through, but your boy may have the time of his life up in Tuscaloosa. Without going into any personal things, I tell you that I grew up there, went to school at UA, as did my parents and oldest son, and cherish that time.
Looks like I am going to have a kid at Bama next month so I freaking give up.
Town folks love their school and the kids that attend. You won't find a town that treasures them both more!
GOOD LUCK!

Yes I know how it works but I figured he just made a mistake since literally no one says it like that.

Tide roller, and you other guys dealing with this shite, my prayers to you and your family, you guys probably all have it worst than I do. Sorry should have said that earlier but running around with my boss (aka my wife) running errands and lost track.

I’ve said many a time youth is truly wasted on the young. When you’re up this way, I’ll treat you at the Waysider. A few trips in there and your journey to the dark side will be complete.

Well as you get old a lot of shite gets way less important and a lot of little shite you took for granted becomes much more important. I am not sure if as you age you get your priorities in line or out of whack but they definitely change.

Well George and fellow gump parents, my son won a t-shirt after successfully answering this bama trivia question at bama bound.
“Who was the last SEC team to win a game at Bryant Denny stadium?” Lol
First Impressions: Didn’t realize some parts of T-Town were so sketchy but found a few decent places to eat, it’s not Oxford or Athens but ok.
Your admissions people and counselors are first class, significantly better than at Auburn. They are really nice and helpful and go the extra mile, and completely understand what we are trying to do.
A guy even pulled his immunization record today, after I have been trying to find it for weeks, doctor retired, etc. Just said “I will just pull it up for you and put it in his file “
People have all been really nice so far, very easy process even in 95 degrees, and even after me forgetting to lock down the back door of the UHaul on way up, (Miracle nothing really broken but that obviously wasn’t a great start to the morning) The elevator at his apt even worked the whole day.
Overall, you guys get A plus from me so far.

Thanks for the kind words, brother.
Hope you're doing well, and glad to hear that your son is enjoying it.
Next year you need to find your way to a tailgate for the LSU game and we'll help you pay the piper with some more heavy drinking.
