I don't know how you only drop one spot after losing 2/3 at home.

Hell UK hasn't dropped an SEC series and one of those was Florida. But Perfect Game didn't have us ranked until this week and it's at 21.

ETA: Not in Gainesville.

I thought UK played them in Lexington? But yeah, I thought Kentucky would be higher.

And while Mississippi State has also been dominant since league play began in the SEC, we still have Florida ranked ahead of them given the overall dominance (29-5) they have displayed this season.

Their justification for our ranking is at the top of the page.. and after having read that, I will never look at, or consider Perfect Game polls reputable or relevant.

I am not a huge fan of PG even, but there is more to rankings than a 3 game window. UF still has a better record, RPI, & record vs top 50 teams. An argument can be made at a minimum.

Something to keep in mind is that the committee really doesn't look at the polls all that much. Instead, they look at RPI, SOS, overall record, league record and metrics like that. The polls are so far apart because a lot of the people voting in them don't really pay that much attention to results as much as they do reputation.

Right now, I think the two best teams in the SEC are South Carolina and Miss. State. But I do think the SEC is a mine field of pretty good, Top Ten Teams. Although it probably won't happen, I think the SEC deserves six, not five, host spots. But should get five.

I swear I'm not trying to be a homer here, just questioning. Concluding that UF is still better than MSU after having lost to them in a series of games is completely hypocritical given the fact that MSU has obviously been punished for losing to obviously lesser teams midweek.

but you are. Are you really this salty over the difference between 2 and 3? The great thing about baseball is if you are the best it will show by the end of the season.
