You actually have it backwards in this game. Nobody expects Ole Miss to win. They need to win more than Southern Miss. They are not good and Southern Miss was a top 5 team in the country before injuries two weeks ago.
I think Ole Miss fans would prefer a loss. If they win here and get a series win to start getting hot it will potentially save Bianco’s job. Most of them that I know are tired of Bianco.

If it means we go on to a run to Omaha, I'm fine with him being around. Anything less, and I want him gone.

Any shot y’all burned up a weekend pitcher? We play y’all this weekend.
We’ve started to get hot at the plate and that’s with the best hitter in the country out with a broken finger. If berry comes back then we’re gonna have one hell of a lineup. It’s our starting pitching that’s been a weakness lately. Our bullpen is almost full of guys with eras under 2.25 or so. We have 8 releivers with an era under 3.0 I think.
Berry is day to day with that finger. We had 16 hits against bama Sunday without him and scored in the mid teens in both of our last two games . Bats are hot now.

From what I've seen, we've largely just used our mid week guys. Gotta see who comes out for the 9th, but I'd hope we save our arms for this weekend.

Tonight was a good win on the road against a quality opponent. OM has talent to make that kind of a run. This will be a big weekend for them and Bianco’s future.
