There are not five teams in the country better than us. Period end of story. In fact there is no team better than us. Maybe equal in Alabama’s case.
I’d agree with this. I think if we played again it would be another hard fought game with either team coming out on top. I’d bet on Georgia, because it’s hard to beat a good team twice in one year.

georgia looked very different saturday because the OC depends on better players to make plays.
Which OC does not?

when UGA faced a team with similar talent they couldn't creatively outscheme them and it was apparent.
Two mistakes cost us the game. The penalty on the FG that moved us back 5 yards and the fumble on the 11 yard line.

It was a good game and Alabama just played better than us and kept their mistakes to a minimum.

Only 3 other games did a team score 24 points on Alabama. One of those teams led the nation in scoring and they scored 28.

Correct. And this is proof that the whole “Committee voted for the best 4 teams” thing is BS.

At least that’s how they said their logic applied to the top 4

There is no doubt the CFP Committee used inconsistent logic.

If they were going for the best teams in the country I think Georgia would have been ranked higher.

If they were going by most deserving (Best record/Conference winner) they would have put FSU in.

They just could not justify dropping an undefeated conference winning team lower than what they did.

We will do what our conference needs us to do which is go to Miami and bitch slap FSU’s arse, recruit like a champion, and get ready for another run.

Lol. I hope yall lose. So, frick conference allegiance.

That's fair. I definitely think that Kirby made a few mistakes. Additionally, I think Saban made a smart call by adapting the defense after the first drive. Still, it was a thrilling game

It's amazing how many bottom dwellar schools in the SEC are so excited bama got to back into another playoff/championship game. Moo state, ole miss, A&M, south carolina, etc.

This is why the metric should be the four most deserving, not the four best. This is completely subjective.

"Most deserving" would also be subjective. It's not like the NFL, where all 16 teams play each other for the AFC or NFC playoff spot.

Think about it - if you wanted to compare Washington's and Michigan's respective resumes, OBJECTIVELY, how would you do that?

They didn't play each other, and they only had one common opponent that they both obliterated so it's hardly useful.

"Deserving" is a very, VERY subjective concept. Are you more deserving if you played a tougher schedule and won your conference, or went undefeated against an easier schedule and won your conference?

This is what irritates me more than getting knocked out. We knew the SECCG was a quarter final and we lost outright. It is what it is. But then they say FSU is not a playoff team, but better than 12-1 UGA that played a bad game against #8 bama and lost by 3? What a joke.

Yeah call me crazy but losing by 3 to the nick saban coached most talented team in the nation with 5 of our top offensive players injured and playing freshman LBs isn't a sign to blow things up. We were outmanned and outplayed Saturday, too bad.
