He could have achieved legend status had he stayed at LSU or coached for any of the SEC big 6. Other schools like Ohio St or USC as well.

If anyone gives you shite about the hire, know that whoever Bama hired they would talk crap. Bama went straight to the top and got the hottest coach. They didn’t steal a OC, oh no, national championship coach.

Well, we did win an SEC title in 99 under Dubose. Fran shouldn't have left. His career was rockin when he was here. I believe he'd have snagged 1 natty. Curry was very good, just couldn't beat Auburn.
Price never coached... bc we are in the bible belt. Even Shula went 10-2 and won the cotton bowl.
