He’s focused on developing his quarterback. Which is what recruits want. They want to win sure. But they want to make it to the NFL and want development opportunities more.
Fans want to win. Players want that. But only secondarily.
And Elko knows this. So does A&M brass.
He’s not going anywhere.

Elko went to the playoffs last year which is a feat at A&M. What more could you ask for?

He made a horrendous hire at OC.
And, the QB has regressed as a result.
He better fix that problem quick or it won't matter.

Should he not develop him for the NFL by moving him to a new position? That's is just based on the score I saw, haven't watched the highlights yet to see how much of it was his fault.
He'll probably look like the second coming of Joe Montana this week.

Reed had 15 TDs against 12 picks against the P4 last year. We sure he has really regressed?
He is about the same. Less talent around him though.
Paying a bunch of money in NIL to get below average OL from bad SEC lines was a choice by Elko I did not understand.
