Yes and No

Unfortunately Leach had to do a Croomesque purge. We will probably lose some more players before next year.

But our talent is still light years better than it was in 2004-2005. Leach will be fine but it will take some time for his program to develop.

The guy can flat out coach and if we show some patience we will see the fruits of his efforts but it will not be overnight.

He could go 6-6 to 8-4 every year with a normal schedule.

He was, and he’s still a good coach.
He was fired because he did not prevent a toxic locker-room from developing and academic issues happened under his watch.

And Firing Leach before he can purge that locker room would be a big mistake

I fully believe any HC should get at least 3 full cycles to show what he can do. There are extreme circumstances but for the most part they gotta get time to turn it around

Give Leach time. He has to recruit the players that fit his system and process the old guys he doesn’t want. 3 years min

Where is this coming from? No one is talking about firing Leach. He has core players behind him and the program.

All I was saying is he’d only get fired for a scandal at this point.

Calm down, my friend. With any of the rebuilding teams (State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Missouri), take this year with a grain of salt. BTW, kudos to Arky.

Celebrate the positives and be careful about overreacting to the negatives. This year is too weird to do otherwise. Give Leach time. 3 years from now you'll have a better idea of the real situation.

It'll take 5 years, but you will get to 6-6.

Always takes him time to build his team but that was at Tex tech and WSU

Not sure how it goes in sec. I hope it works out since we stole Dan

I believe he can build up a good offense. D that's another story

Could be worse, you could be held hostage by Gus and his mega contract.

Sure, give him some time to recruit. He has turned it around everywhere else. MSU will be no different. I mean I wouldn't expect Saban like results but he will have his moments.

At the same time he as gone backwards! So I do not buy his needed more time to get his players since it is so bad! It is his system that does not work anywhere against top rank team and SEc is right there. This year is a fact and why can't he compete in some games? Not get blown out and lose to Arkansas that MSU blew Arkansas out last two years! That is proven fact that Leach is in over his head and refuses to make any adjustments!

What offensive system should Leach run when his best 5 offensive linemen can't block 3 defensive lineman

I'll hang up and listen

Should I tell him that OMs OC is an AR guy like his dad and that’s what most of their passing game is based on that nearly beat Bama?

Just curious here. In that, it's necessary to purge all the malcontents prior to onfield success, just how many players have been sent packing at Ole Miss and Arkansas? And why do players on both those teams look like they have been in the system forever?

Tennessee fans, feel free to jump in and give us your 2 cents as well.
