Mullen was something like 4-21 against teams that finished in the top 25. I don't remember the exact record but it was pretty bad. He got MSU to bowl eligibility every year though because the 4 OOC games were almost always cupcakes and he could beat Arky/Ole Miss/Kentucky fairly reliably.

That and now that they’ve fired JMo after 2 seasons, you fire ML and you’ll never hire another HC that’s worth a damn

Leach is not getting fired before the end of season 3, even if we were to continue losing bigly.

See if you can get a rematch against Kentucky. First team to seven wins.

What's funny is you are comparing his records in the most weakass of the power 5 conferences...

I do. The man installed new systems and a coaching staff with no practice. He will recruit QBs and WR. Nothing about this year would scare me about ML.

Yes, with teams who were bottom dwellers he won more games on avg than Mullen at State

Has TT seen the top 5 since?
We’ll see what Wazzou does, I think they’ll do well with Rolovich but before Leach they were at the bottom

Fear not. It's typical of Leach teams in their first year.

Dude's a good coach - give him a chance.

Being shut out twice is actually quite atypical for Leach, first year or otherwise.

Yeah but this year isn’t like any other .. hardly any offseason time and no cupcakes to rep against

State only won 3 SEC games last year if you take out the cream puffs

Ppl need to Stop acting like this was a ten win team that’s being ran into the ground

Croom was better than Leach.
That being said, I think Leach can turn it around relative to this year. Really nowhere to go but up at this point.

JoMo was not fired for purely on the field issues.
If ML is fired it will be for the same reasons.

Coaches want stability, a school kicking coaches to the curb every 2 years is not something one with any cred would run to

Credible coaches wont have to worry about being fired for the reason moorhead was.

Leach's first year at TT was bad and his first few years at WSU were reallllllly bad. It takes time for him to establish his program.
