Because nobody wanted Kiffin.
Most still don't.

Ok... tell us, where would that be?

Given everything you know about Kiffin and his history, in what galaxy do you think he’d rather coach LSU than USC?

Amazing how someone gets hired that nobody apparently wants.

Don't even care. I know he wants to coach this LSU team in 2026, and that's all that matters right now.

Well, he didn't need to leave ole piss while walking into the CFP and come to LSU.... just to eventually get to USC.

USC will never hire him again. Ever. If you know your history you will know why.
That said, nobody at LSU should or probably is expecting him to stay. It won't be like what's being mentioned in here though. Probably to the NFL as his next challenge. He has all the resources he could possibly need at LSU.
Kiffin already said it multiple times and even in LSU's press conference, he jumped to other teams because they're new challenges to him. He claims he wants to inspire new lives because it's something he learned from his dad. You can believe it or not but that's how Kiffin has always been. Nobody at LSU will care if he leaves peacefully especially if he snags a championship here before he does.

He got hired when someone wanted him, many years later.

I mean... he was hired at bama, was hired at FAU, was hired at OM, was hired at LSU.
Seems like a lot of hiring.

At LSU he's positioned for a Saban run. He has everything he needs and more here. Not saying he may not scratch the NFL itch at some point, but if he asks Saban, he will tell him not to do it.

Hired at USC, hired at Tennessee, Hired at Oakland in the NFL if you just want to be a dumbass and list teams to avoid the fact the entire context of the conversation was that he spent 6 years at Ole Miss.

He was already an NFL coach is considered one of the worst NFL coaches ever.
I suppose it's possible, but I'll be downright shocked if any NFL team hired him.

I'm not the one stating that LSU isn't a dream job and that USC is..... dick.

Don’t care. Watching Ole Miss become unglued is worth it.

To be fair, Baton Rouge is nobody’s dream
destination. He’ll do his time then head for greener pastures.

Who gives a shite? If he stays for 6 years and then bolts for the NFL but in those 6 years is in the playoffs 4 times and plays for a title once then it would be worth it.

Yes he will leave LSU. We all know it. We will enjoy the ride as long as we are winning. Difference between us and OM. We have won with multiple coaches. We will find another. OM lost the only one in our lifetimes that brought them multiple years of success.

Ole Miss was on pins and needles every year needing to give Kiffin a raise. He was on the mouth of several teams for years at Ole miss. Either that was a lie or his agent is amazing. I don't think it was a lie. He was just waiting for the right opportunity to open itself up and LSU opened up. Pretty sure he wanted it the last opening but LSU at that time wasn't interested in dealing with Sexton clients because of Woody.
Kiffin kept getting jobs as a young guy because everyone saw him as an offensive prodigy that would get better as a HC over time. He has shown that as he got older which is why his last 2 HC jobs have been very successful. He's at the top now. He has no reason to leave for any other college. If he leaves, it's probably to the NFL since he failed there so it's his next challenge. The past decade of his life has basically been rehabbing mistakes he made when he was younger in his coaching career.
