You Big 12 people are weird. Just plain weird. So is the conference.

So the same as every SEC opponent that comes to BDS other than Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Georgia and State?

Because we choose to take care of our own fans first?

Also, it seems as if the Big 12 fanbases have never had a problem with this, and neither do Texas fans?

I guess I'm just confused as to why visiting fanbases supposedly deserve premium seating. Texas fans have never really complained about this in the places they've visited.

Mainly because the SEC has always given visitors seating in the lower level - and before A&M/Mizzou joined the conference it was even more seating. Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss and Auburn used to give an entire lower endzone to visitors. It just kind of was how we did things.

Other places outside the old SEC haven't, though, so I didn't really understand the issue.

Exactly.

When Texas and OU join the SEC in 2024, they aren't going to get special treatment and will be required to abide by the same rules. They will also be required to accommodate visiting fans the same way all other SEC schools do. That was my point in my first post in this thread.

Looking forward to a great game (hopefully one where our QB can at least finish an entire half this time lol)

Just a bunch of silly stuff. Also looking forward to it - should be an incredible atmosphere.

Uh, good. That's preferable. This may be the start of a fun little rivalry.

That’s what I’m saying. Pettiness is part of football. Go play soccer if you want fake sportsmanship.

Texas could have done the right thing and gave our band seats near the field. They chose not to, so frick them and their band. Idc if they have to haul arse to the top of BDS.

Can't we just pipe music in or get some AI that doesn't take up a bleacher seat (or two... looking at you woodwinds).

Actually LSU quit allowing full bands at their stadiums, they only allowed other teams to bring their pep bands, We don't let them bring their whole band either.

My son was in the MDB and always thought it was so strange. He learned that LSU quit doing it when Jacksonville State, from Jacksonville Alabama that is a preforming arts schools and has a band of about 500 members brought their whole band to LSU. After that LSU quit allowing schools to bring their whole bands.

We only had 2 working elevators the rest of the season after hauling the 20 gumps that could afford tickets to our upper decks.

But we didn't sue Bama for that

You don't want to hear them anyway. All they play is that railroad song, over and over, and over again.

SEC members don't pull that chickenshit stuff like putting the band at the top.
As a former member of an SEC Band, you simply don't do this low class BS.

Yall want to lug all that heavy equipment up to the Upper Deck?

Frick that shite!

This seems blatantly unfair, given we've been paying property tax on that dump for the last 50 years.

One interesting thing that I found out when A&M joined the SEC was no students section behind the visiting team. That used to be thousands of rowdy students up close. Now its alums with deep pockets.

Jax State is not a performing arts school. It has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Film. The school has 40 undergraduate degrees overall.

Their band is one of the best in the country. I remember LSU fans posting on here about how great their performance was.

Texas is gonna learn fast enough that they will not be running the SEC. They will have no more rights or influence than Vandy or Misery. They have no clue about the hurt that the SEC is gonna lay on them.

JFC. I guess some Vandy people are dumb too. It's call a PEP band.
