They owe Norvell $51 million. Unless they are going to pay $8 million a year with a truck load of NIL guarantees, they are going to have to hire a G5 head coach or a coordinator.
The only “big name” I could see them getting at a discount is Dan Lanning trying to GTFO of Oregon with all the pressure he’s under there now.

They don't owe Norvell a lump sum, they can pay him roughly $800k a month through 2031.

No but this will be the third most expensive buyout in cfb history once all staff is fired and paid roughly 100 million. Only Jimbo fisher atm, Brian Kelly lsu were more expensive

A big reason Jimbo left was because he felt that the administration was not willing to put up the money to keep his program among the elite. Not sure if the money was simply not there or the administration was / is just cheap.
