And not sure why so many on here don’t like Danielson. He is much better than anyone at ESPN.
Five to ten years ago I really liked Gary. The last few years he has really slipped noticeably to me.

IDGAF if I'm listening to bama's home call, just explain a few things here and there and I'm fine. Slobber all over the other team, what adult really cares as long as I can get an explanation of an odd call or report on an injury.

I look forward to the day of no more Gary “dick rider” Danielson

CBS is ten times better than ESPN.

You can tell the folks that don't know shite about the game of football by their comments about who an analyst likes, not about how and why one team did something to earn an advantage over the other team.
As he's done 100s of times, during the Ga./LSU game, the Dogs broke the huddle, and Danielson identified the defense and offense that the teams were in......then almost matter-of-factly stated,"Watch'em find #84 Bowers over the middle". A second later, BOOM!
He also, before the replay, says how and why something worked, or didn't work because of a number of actions by players from both teams. THEN the replay is shown and he points out what he told the audience. Things like that tell knowledge fans that the guy is an experienced expert on the game.

I think next year CBS still gets to keep the 2:30 Saturday timeslot for SEC games.

Beth Mowins incoming after 2023

He’s my favorite because of this. I ignore his deep throating of Bama because they all do do it. It’s hard not to be enamored with Bama when you’re a football analyst. They’ve been so well coached for so long A it’s probably the most fun to watch them.

Another thing that I've read about him is that he's the hardest working (home work) guy up there. He supposedly pours over info and film all week before Saturday's game, like a QB.
Lastly, it's said that he's got the ear of many of the SEC head and asst. coaches from all the years he's been doing this, AND gets tips about what to watch, or lookout for in certain situations....

SUGGESTION:
Don't let your personal like or dislike for someone allow your comments to downgrade opinions about your intelligence.

Agree, Chris Fowler is the best, college football, Wimbledon, no one does it better cause he would do it for nothing, luvs the sport.

If you don't like how the game is called/announced, then that's on the ...announcer, BUT if you don't like the analysis, or how the game's explained, then it's the.........that's right!

PS- I like Fowler, too!

In a post-CBS world, does the biggest game in the conference each week get played at 6:00pm CST instead of 2:30?
Posted on 12/5/22 at 2:07 pm to armtackledawg
At the end of the day both suck but having your marquee game at 730 on abc is infinitely better than 330

CBS was using that theme long before they only had SEC games.

I actually like Brock Huard the best as far as color commentary goes, with Herbie probably second.

Not looking forward to ESPN
I am DEFINITELY looking forward to the day when there aren't eleven commercials played every time there is a time out called or a change of possession. CBS has done more to contribute to long, three-and-a-half-hour football games than anything or anyone else. I don't think I'll be missing them that much.
