Well step in already. It's just getting embarrassing with them trying to guess how to.

What this place has become.

It's easy to look great around terrible players.

I think the 2010 LSU secondary has been the best so far. I'm more interested in a "best defensive line in SEC History" thread.

I mean i was mostly kidding but if you really are trying to downplay Eric Berry's college career, his resume disagrees with you:

07 Freshman All-SEC first team
07 Unanimous Freshman All-American
named a captain as a true sophmore
All time SEC INT return yard record holder
finalist for Lott Trophy, Bednarik Award, and Nagurski Award
2 time winner of the Jack Tatum Award
Winner of the Thorpe award
08 SEC defensive Player of the year
2 time All-SEC first team
2-time unanimous All-American

2000s ESPN All-Decade High School Football Team
2000s RivalsHigh.com Team Of The Decade First Team
2000s Sports Illustrated All-Decade Team

and, not to mention:

You can't even begin to compare this by including stats. Apples to oranges.

I will however listen to hundreds of NFL scouts, coaches and GMs who spend countless hours watching tape and meeting with these kids before putting their money where their mouth is and investing millions in these players.

Fun topic for discussion.

Why, in a discussion about Football players and their accomplishments, can statistics not be brought up?

You have fun with that, but this is SECrant, a place where you don't need logical support, as long as you have an opinion.

But way to sound like a pretentious D-bag!

I agree. Manti Te'o immediately comes to mind.

2011 Bama, RS players not counted.

Mark Barron - First round pick
Dre Kirkpatrick - First round pick
Dee Milliner - Projected first round pick
DeQuan Menzie - 5th round pick
Robert Lester - Projected 5th - 7th round pick
Ha'sean Clinton-Dix - A little too early to tell, but looks like a projected first round pick
John Fulton - Likely drafted anywhere from the 4th round to the 7th round
Vinnie Sunseri - Likely a 5th round pick to being Undrafted
Phelon Jones - Undrafted
Will Lowery - Undrafted
Nick Perry - 7th round - Undrafted (more than likely undrafted)

Manti Teo did not go up against the SEC for the majority of his college career, Berry did. And Berry was the 5th overall pick in the draft. Teo will not even be close to that.

No. I'd say the 2011 Linebackers were arguably the best in SEC history. I think LSU had the edge in secondary in 2011

Eric Reid- Should be a first round pick in 2013 or early second

His stock has really fallen. He's not even a top 5 safety on most boards. He looked like a first round lock last year. I think if Reid ends up on a team with solid corners he'll be a great pro. If he's asked to do too much though he'll struggle, early in anyway

I think your information might be old in re: Reid.

Vaccaro, cyprien, Elam are all ahead of him in every listing I've seen. That's off top of my head. Kiper and mcshay had him outside the top 5 too
