Lane could very well win a natty there if he stays. I think he's the only who could.

See the OP. I'm just referring to the number he threw out.

I’m in the camp that Lane will leave Ole Miss for one of only two jobs: 1. Bama (Sabanite) 2. An NFL gig (following his father’s legacy).
Better put LSU in there….dude slobbers all over the Tigahs every change he gets…go back and listen to his press conferences…loves him some LSU football ceiling

He wants to win a Natty…. That’s why UF isnt a real threat to pull him out of Oxford

Every school's fans thinks that he focuses on them. The fact is that he takes jabs at all of his opponents.

Depends on what he wants
Auburn and UF as proven can win SEC and Natty titles with great coaching.

He turned down Auburn who was able to win a champinship with Gene Chizik and be a play away from another with Gus. Not to mention Tuberville had them undefeated and should have had a chance at a title. 3 coaches most would consider fairly avergage so i can understand the thought that you can win championships at Auburn. Same with LSU when you think about Les Miles and Orgeron.
Florida has won 3 championships with 2 hall of fame coaches who are probably both considered top 15, maybe top 10 coaches of all time. One of them needed a team full of felons to win. Outside of those 2 coaches, Florida has been a mediocore program.

Both Auburn and Florida most recently won their national championships with generational talents in Cam Newton and Tim Tebow.
Kiffin can potentially get one of those types of talents to Ole Miss in the NIL era and not have to deal with the insane pressure and expectations of an Auburn or Florida.

Auburn or Florolida.
I can't imagine any good coach at a semi-decent program getting paid well is going to look at either one of these programs and think, "Yeah, I want that in my life."

Obviously, Lane is a helluva coach. It would have been great if he hadn’t left Knoxville, certainly better than Dooley/Jones/Pruitt.

If it was so easy to win at Florida, how come you only have 2 coaches that did it? Both are not recent national
championships either... both were generational coaches Spurrier/Myers both changed the SEC style of play.
NIL has changed everything I don't think some coaches will take jobs now like they did in the past ...for example Lashlee at SMU, would he take the Arkansas job? I don't think he leaves SMU they made the playoffs and have plenty of booster money for NIL.
Coaches are going to demand more, guaranteed contracts with huge buyouts and definite funding for NIL.. Is Florida willing to be a top 5 NIL? You already bounced a check over 1 recruit
Auburn and Florida have the same problem they are living in the past with unrealistic expectations.

We need GA to handle Ole Miss so it's clear to him he won't win the national championship at Ole Miss.
There's Indiana HC that your son is very happy to have him. I doubt he will leave for a top program any time soon.

Wait til the committee expands to 32. And then 8 wins can sneak you into a playoff bracket
