The game of the century. Not the NC game. Was the board flooded with almost exclusively Bama and LSU fans starting the same damn topics over and over again?

It was not as strange but yes. It was there.

It probably wasn’t as sad since LSU hadn’t had their assholes turned inside out 7 straight times prior to the game. Now it’s just awkward for everyone

Yes and no. In 2011 sports media folks were somewhat evenly divided on who would win. Both teams were incredibly talented and equally matched.

This year, Alabama is clearly more talented, and almost everyone in sports media thinks Bama wins. LSU is playing well, and hoping for a big upset. Which is what it will be if they win.

It was a pretty even matchup and both teams received tons of love. So the rant reflected that.

It's out of control this year because LSU fans are rabid and cringey after having a solid team that everyone told them would suck.

Add everyone telling them Miami and Auburn suck, then LSU fans finally figuring out Miami and Auburn suck, and now we have this combative group of crazy LSU fans who are blindly running around screaming stupid shite like crack addicts after a bad batch.

Is this the new saying for all of the gumps, “Alabama can’t lose”

It felt different for that game. This was LSU's best team of all time, and even Bama fans didn't truly know who was going to win. I was miserable that entire week. Also, the statisticians of the board came out of the woodworks. Every other thread was some insane statistic.

STATS!

Not sure why you're being downvoted. Everything you said is true. Although I think LSU was slightly favored by most people in 2011 due to our impressive win against Oregon

I really don't remember how it was before the GOTC, but I do remember how it was before GOTC 2. LSU fans were extremely confident in a win because the game was in NOLA and the win in regular season was in Bama's own house. Most Bama fans were pretty confident, because in the 9-6 game Bama looked like the better team, but just had some bad bounces.

You seem to be ignoring a pretty big win over a #2 ranked Georgia team. It's disingenuous to say LSU fans have no reason to think we have a chance

Before the first game it was Bama fans bragging beyond belief even though LSU beat them the previous year. Stats were compared and measured around the clock. The second time there were some LSU fans actaully thinking it would be a blowout. It's hard to beat a good team twice and the players were the only one's that seem to know it. You could see it in their body language when they announced they would let them play the final.

Y’all also knew the head derp in charge would be starting Jordan Jefferson at QB based on his very mild success running the option in Tuscaloosa.

Les should have been fired after that game.
