They'll have a better chance - you can not give that damn defense a free five yards by false starting. But when they do that pre-snap shift ? Haven't seen a team not false-start yet.
I think the Bo Nix show comes to an end. The kid can do some crazy things. I think he's going to do crazy, how badly can we lose this game things in the face of that pressure.
Honestly - I expect Auburn to score. And I expect Georgia's defense to score just as much.

UGA's defense is better than 2011 Bama.
Daily reminder, we were the only team to score on them this year.

Our offense is pretty good when we can run the ball and stay ahead of the chains. But we kept ending up in 2nd and 15 type situations due to false starts and UGA just shutting down the running game on first down, and long-yardage situations against that defense are a recipe for disaster.
They also blocked a punt for a TD and on one play we had THREE penalties on the same play
just one of those days where we couldn't do much right.

It started on the kickoff ... got stopped short of the twenty - then two false starts and suddenly pinned.
The play calling on the punt block confused me. They were on their own two, and IIRC they went with a pass play. Screw the first down, get some room to punt.
I think Arkansas is well coached. I also think that staff wilted a little bit against Georgia. No reason to abandon them or get down on them, the moment might have just been a little bit too big. It happens.

Even though Georgia beat us up.. we still had plenty of chances to score, missed a short FG.. went for it on 4th instead of kicking another FG.. not saying it matters but definitely shouldn't have been a shut out, yet it was.. credit goes to Georgia.. if they play like that the rest of the year.. I definitely see them winning it all.

I thought Arky came out flat… pehaps. Bit a bit intimidated with the spotlight, big game, etc. and NO Hairy Dawg, not taking anything away from your play.

And Arky has plenty of chances to win a bunch more games. Maybe even go New Year's Day bowling. Kentucky's in the same boat - they can not, will not, beat Georgia this year. It's a loss. But there are plenty of wins to get, as long as they shrug it off and get on to the next one.
I'm very interested to see how Arky will respond. Because I think, if any coach can get them back ready, it's Pittman. Those kids love him - it's obvious. Hell - Georgia's kids still love him. He's a good one.

I think Arkansas played a weak defense in aTm and a very weak one in UT.

We've been raking in the false start penalties this year.
I've believed it to be a combination of:
1. Our pre snap shifting
2. Crowd noise returning to CFB this year and teams not being ready
3. The crazy home field we've been giving ourselves as fans. Sanford was terrifying for the USC and Arkansas games. We are consistently bringing the noise/home field advantage now.
I'm not sure if we can keep stacking up false starts this weekend since we're down in Auburn, but the free 5 yards back is def something you don't want to give our defense.

Even Georgia's radio broadcast commented many times - I don't understand why Arkansas stayed in a rush three, drop eight concept. They had five men in the box the entire time that first quarter.
When to put in a sixth, slowed GA down in the second quarter. Went right back to rush three, drop eight after halftime. And wore out in the fourth quarter, when GA piled on the last points.
Pittman likely realized that UGA was going to take whatever the defense gave them. So if they stack the box, then UGA lights it up in the air and the score just keeps going higher and higher, and the game drags out longer and longer. Rushing 3 was Pittman's way of telling Kirby "let's just run this thing out".
There's no other logical explanation for why they stayed in that formation.

Georgia has been operating on all cylinders. Makes football fun to watch.

Come on! Arky just stepped out of their league.
The game was in Athens and Arky just doesn't have the team to compete against top competition away from home. Yet..

UGA is just that good on d
I still don't see the Dawgs taking out the Tide with Bennett or even JT at QB
Bama will be able to exploit that UGA secondary

We only had 45 offensive snaps. if that tells you anything about the TOP...

Yup, Dawgs clocked in with 36:32 TOP

But when they stopped, late in the first quarter, their defense held. And they only put one extra guy in the box. Just one. They were still dropping five straight away, with two more reading.
I keep hearing this notion that Arky was screwed either way - but it was the backup in there at QB, and GA is still short at WR. And damn - you can't live against ANY team when all they have to do is hand off for five. Everything just gets easier for the offense that way.
I think it was a coaching failure. And one Stoops will repeat - because he only knows how to run the defense one way. GA will put points up in similar fashion against Kentucky. To beat this team - somebody is going to have to roll the dice.

How did 2019 LSU team get it done against Alabama? Same thing can happen to Alabama and if Florida could be competitive against Alabama then why not Georgia?
